Grimey Rick 3417 Posted July 28, 2014 Whilst running up the stairs in Novodmitrovsk's tower, my Hardcore character of seven months apparently tripped and broke every bone in her body on the way down. She was a lovely woman; beautiful, smart, funny -- the kind of gal every guy is looking for. However, just like every seemingly perfect gal in the universe, she had a flaw: ragged, asthmatic breathing after running a handful of paces. Jesus Christ. I've never had to endure such torture in a video game. Torn between killing her off to save my eardrums or letting her live to continue her legacy, every time I logged on to DayZ, never before had I been faced with such a juxtaposition. When she was created, females still used male sound effects. While somewhat strange, it worked. Oh well. She's gone now. haknslash 763 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) I feel ya man. I lost my long-lived hardcore character Saturday as well. We had been through a lot and died in such a shitty way. I died due to my fault for having my mic on mute without knowing and died because apparently I didn't announce myself, even though in my mind I was yelling to them not to shoot! It wasn't until I replay the video back and realized I had no mic audio. Doh! :D. Dying on stairs has to be right up there near the top. RIP my dear old friend. Gone but never forgotten.
