For me, DayZ scratched an itch I never knew I had. As far as greatest game ever. Meh. At least for me, a game needs a story. Now no game has ever got my heart racing quite as much as DayZ has. It has endless replay ability. But my top 3 games go as this : FF7 Dragon Age origins Metal gear series Then maybe DayZ

I've also noticed loot is in really odd places. I had some rice from before the update so I'm in pretty good shape. But food seems a little rarer, but not too much that you'd starve. Hunting stands have some good loot. I found a black m65 jacket and black extra pocket vest in ONE stand. Maybe eventually devs will consider giving us better new spawn gear. Instead of flash lights and batteries we can have a hunting knife and matches.

Just crouch to avoid. If you go head on, make sure you're healthy. They attack really fast now and get real close quickly. They do stumble sometimes after you hit them giving a little breathing room, but axes and hoes still seem to work best. If you decide to run away, they actually give up after a while I've also tried guns in some of the smaller northern cities, and no more than 2 have been alerted by the noise of the blast. No way man. This isn't CS:GO. Also, server admins should NOT be able to do whatever they want. You are only renting a server, no one is forcing you to dole out cash for it, therefore you don't need to control dexterity, loot, or vehicles.

Nope. Just special circumstances here. Lots of twitch streamers and youtubers. Smak and Cal (guys voicing the games) likely were given special privileges. Normal server host can't and shouldn't be able to do this

I don't know where you saw that modding would be available at years end. I know they hope to enter beta at the end of the year.
