Looks to be north of Severograd. I'd recognize that ridge anywhere.

I have been travelling for about 2 days now and im completely lost, I wanted to go to northwest airfield from balota airstrip and im lost. I have been following my compass til i hit this area with no trees just an open field that looks like it hasnt been developed by dayz yet. I dont think i can post pictures here but you can see it on my profile. If you can help me it would mean the world to me.

If you see a bare wasteland with no trees or anything, turn right back around, cause that's the end of the map and you won't find anything there.

Hi, im relatively new to this game (Less than 40 hours played) but im learning the ropes still.
I found my way to northwest airfield where i saw this dead body on the floor with alot of loot, i picked up everything he had and found some equipment in some of the buildings. I want to make my way to this military camp i saw south east of north west airfield but i got lost and im now at this town with no names but just this one sign. If any of you know where my location is, I would greatly appreciate it. Dayz is a lovely game and i really like it.

Im not sure exactly where that is but if you just follow the road youll eventually reach a town. Try to find yourself a compass, it will make it so much easier to navigate.

I'm on top of a mountain somewhere i think near a dam

Merged to official, also your are on pik kozlova between electro and cherno :). Your character is currently facing west towards cherno, the small group of buildings you see to the lower right is prig.  If you put the water on your left shoulder you will be headed west, right shoulder to the water places you headed east from that location

I really need help. I went out exploring towards novo and ended up getting some nice gear. I tried retracing my steps but ended out in this town, I've been trying to find my way back to where the main spawns are (by the ship) because that's the only area i know the best.

I suspect that's the petrol station to the WNW of Svetlojarsk, at 135 020 on the DayZDB map. Is there a T-junction on the other side of the road from the petrol station? If you run down the road in the direction of the church you should encounter a town name sign beginning CBeT.. or similar.

 

Could be wrong though, long time since I was in that part of the world.

i was guessing between vybor and gorka first but now i got it 100%

 

you are in the north east of toploniki and also right next to zaprudnoe, the little gas station between these.

That's an AWESOME map Axe... Thank you. The one I've been using is bone dry- not sure how you got that but thank you for putting it up. Helps a lot for reasons that my pride as a noob prohibits me from exposing.

 

(EDIT: Just figured out that my browser at work was so antiquated that it wasn't populating the map and couldn't- now I have a newer browser and I can see the icons.)

he said he wanted to go east to the shore and i knew nowhere near east is that "ball on a stick thingy" except for khelm but theres no gas station near enough so i assumed he ran

west instead of east and ended up so far west :D

Pretty sure this was the northern edge of the map... What was troubling was that I thought I knew where I was up until then.

 

This isn't a "where am I" post per se... more just a "good grief, look what I got myself into now!"
