Irish. 4886 Posted July 22, 2014 I found a Press Vest in badly damaged condition on stable. Shortly later I found a Bible, standard in Pristine condition, that I placed inside my Press Vest.. just in case. What happened next is something Im going to need others to confirm/take a look at.. I was attacked by a Zombie, who managed to hit me once during the event.. I went to my inventory to find that my Press Vest was now Pristine. I mentioned it to my friends, and carried on after wondering if it was a bug or what.. So I placed the Bible then in my pants, which were in badly damaged condition. Low and behold after playing for a while and forgetting about the first incident what do I find? My pants are in Pristine condition. So is this a bug or feature of some sort? Can anyone else repeat this or have you seen this happen before? ...I found it quite a coincidence to say the least. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Forrelist 236 Posted July 22, 2014 I've had the odd bug, where I've looted fully armed guys after a shootout, taken Ruined items. Logged out with them in my inventory and had them change to Pristine the next time I logged in. Tried to recreate it a couple times but it seems to be random, or attributed to lag. Elle 562 Posted July 22, 2014 a version or two back the press vest was bugged for damage so that a badly damaged vest became pristine with zed hits - dunno about the pants or the bible thing but I have witnessed the press vest bug myself I'll make sure to keep a bible the next time I find one and give this a try. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

One character I had a bible and I survived what should have been a fatal gunshot wound, falling off a ledge that killed my bible-less friend, being mauled by a zombie, being on the end of a bandit ambush where only I survived and i too have had a press vest go from badly damaged to pristine. kev.long@live.com 5 Posted July 22, 2014 I think it's a bug within the game (maybe the Bible has something to do with it) but as mentioned before I've had ruined items turn pristine when it came to looting -- both off of bodies and from buildings and spawn locations.
