Once upon a time, a little Edoissimo was scavenging around Elecktro, he was right in sight of mr callofdutyswag2001, who decided that would be fun to hunt a poor idiot who was just searching some food, he shot at him, Little Edoissimo falled unconscious, he woke up around 20 seconds later.

 

no blood loss

no wounds

 

just a destroyed backpack (with everuthing that was inside it) and a blurry vision, little Edoissimo Rolled in a depression of the ground trying to cover himself from another possible shot, but mr callofdutyswag2001 came to his position for the (poor) loot. and little edoissimo greeted him with 24 hatchet blows.

Well, naturally being dead is worse than being unconscious. Today I panicked and shot a man who tried to punch me inside a house, and he fell unconscious. I thought that it was unnecessary and patched his wounds, took off his ruined stuff and put some food to his unbroken pants, and then force fed him. Then I rejoined the same server after an hour and there he was, alive and idle :D 

 

And once a guy beat me unconscious on similar situation where I attacked first and then apologized and guarded me until I woke up.

I slipped off the fire station stairs at NWAF last night, fully geared, completely furious with myself. Then got myself together, crawled out the back to the bushes, used my trust fire axe and rags and - voila - crafted and used a split for the first time. But the feeling of being well geared and being able to do nothing but crawl was hideous... :(

You need an axe to cut wooden sticks to craft the splint don't you? I've never seen the 'cut kindling' option when I run (or crawl) up to a bush without an axe...

i believe you get the chop kindling option if you have either a hacksaw, any axe variant or a machete. im not too sure about kitchen knives or combat knives and the like, but i know i have been able to gather kindling without an axe before, you do need an item that could feasibly chop or saw wood to do so. i personally think kindling should be gatherable by hand, if you go out into a fishing spot or something, and look to make a fire, you certainly dont need much strength at all to break twigs and small to medium branches of bushes or trees. however to chop large lumps of firewood, needing an axe is a given. I can only see that making kindling obtainable without any kind of tool almost nulls the point or use of morphine, although for one splint you can have 2 morphine so it kind of is balanced to a point. just would be nice if you get legs broken, to not have to crawl around just to find something you can then use to get kindling.

It's a scroll wheel option when looking at the forest floor. It might only work in first person.

It works in third person. I think you have to be crouched though.

 

(It's only actually worked for me once, however. All the other times I've tried it, "I haven't found a thing".)

I vote for KO and I also think if there is any reason to vote for death it should be removed because death is not supposed to be better than any other state.

Unconscious is better.  I won't hesitate to attack another bambi with a bat or fists if they're holding my future SKS.  Killing them is rarely necessary.  Not killing can be much more interesting.

 

One time, at a prison, another player and I were taunting each other and eventually he snuck up the stairs backwards trying to get a shot off.  Well, I was doing the same thing, prone, above the stairs.  He shot once with a magnum, I shot once with a shotgun.  Screen went black,  I went unconscious.  I woke up 20 seconds later unharmed.  I love you ballistic helmet!!!  He was a bloody mess at the bottom of the stairs.  I looted him and went on my way.  Far better result than death.
