Tents with wooden floors never have loot/gear

I've noticed that the tents at airfields/military bases that have wooden floors never spawn any loot or gear.  I've been paying attention to this for several days now and it seems to be 100%.  It is consistent even on fresh servers.  Is there a reason for this?

Maybe a bug or removed from the loot table, but it is an already known bug.

My first trip back to tent city in 2 weeks and wood floor tents spawned no items.

I've seen loot in them before, nothing too big. Maybe an empty ammunition clip on the floor or something.

Not true they used to have tons of loot but now not anymore after recent updates much less loot now  ~ sad

It's a bug that is already logged and the Devs have alreay replied and Reddit that they will fix it along with other bugs.

I swear I remember seeing an update notice explaining that they removed loot from them. Makes total sense. Until they go 64 bit and use two cores they naturally have to give and take in order to work on new content. Zombie and loot spawns are much lower than the ideal because they're still working on it.

Just done a full sweep of NWAF.

 

Confirmed, every tent with wooden floor had 0 loot. Only 4 people in the server so unlikely it had been cleared before hand.

 

The only tent with a wood floor that had loot, was one of the two medical tents in the middle of the camp. Only one tent had loot, and it was a box of .22 ammo <_<

I think it was the 0.46 that reintroduced the tents with wooden floors not spawning loot. They will eventually begin spawning loot in some future update.

I'm pretty sure some other locations have stopped spawning loot too since 0.46, the little sheds with the lean-to and a couple of houses/rooms. Can't be certain those ever did spawn loot though.

Something similar happened a good while back (the wooden floored tents at airfields were affected then too), but was eventually fixed. I think it originally broke followeing a patch which introduced some new loot spawns; maybe new buildings or a town.

Pretty positive it was an intentional change at least for the time being. I know they at least intended to nerf the military sights and this was probably the easiest way to implement that.

In 44 I think you could almost always find a weapon and/or ammo in the small wood cabins with blue trimming, now they are always empty too.

Doubt it, otherwise they would've just taken the tents away. Plus, they're in more locations than just Balota, so I doubt they'd take out loot spawns if they just wanted to reduce the numbers of tents.

 

Its a bug. This happened after 0.45, too, then it was fixed, and now its broken again.

Don't worry, the loot mechanic is just a placeholder for now. It will be revamped with a new engine in the new year with a new lead developer with a new project team that was newly acquired with new financing.

you are not right about that! the first time this happened the tentcity didnt spawn any loot at all!

The smallish round wooden floored tens still spawn loot.  I don't mean the big officer tents, I mean like the ones that have the red cross on them.  This is still happening in the experimental servers too btw.
