pigglet 2 Posted July 1, 2014 i left dayz a few months ago out of boredom and returned yesterday to play some more, i explored the new area of the map and found this amazing shipwreck so i thought i would investigate to find some fatty loot. BEWARE! while exploring the ship i went down a few ladders into a sort of cargo bay and when trying to climb back up, my character glitched out and couldn't climb the stairs and kept teleport 1 meter in the air to fall down on the ground causing both of my characters legs to break. and so i had to starve to death to get out as i couldnt climb up the stairs. so stay away from this shipwreck. it will literally wreck your character. BadAsh (DayZ) 1513 Posted July 1, 2014 First time I visited it I fell to my death because I was running around like a moron there. That taught me I should be more careful, and have not since died to the environment there (other players is another story). It has some great loot, and if you spawn as a freshspawn nearby, and noone has been there, you can be close to a fully geared player when you have finished looting it. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You just don't like sharing all the lootz there :PYou can literally find everything there, guns, ammo, cloths, backpacks,... and many dead bodies still wearing them. rickyriot 1009 Posted July 1, 2014 The shipwreck is glitchy, there is one of the gangways that if you start to walk on you automatically slide off to your death. It does have some decent loot at times, nothing major, although one time I did find a backpack and lots of food although I am certain that was left there by someone else as I've never seen that sort of loot spawning there before or after. I'll tend to only visit the shipwreck if I am working my way up the coast to find and I'm a fresh-ish spawn. On a server that could take 100 people I imagine it would be a decent camping spot, not with 30 or 40 though. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
agentneo 337 Posted July 1, 2014 Havent entered the ship in a few months, last time i went in super carefully walking everywhere and died still. all it takes is a split second of desync when your on one of those glitchy ass stairways and your character will warp into mid air and die. umberfive 89 Posted July 1, 2014 Oh, the shipwreck. It is the place of good memories for me. Found a beetle bug back pack and food there when I played DayZ for the first time. Man, I was starved. Aside from that, I never really glitched there. Once I was kicked from the server when I looted the shipwreck. When I signed in the other day I found myself in the water behind the ship. On one occasion when I searched the bow, the textures were gone and I stood in the middle of the air. It is also the place of the flying pants. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

What good loot is in it because I went there after spawning in an almost empty high loot server and all I found were hats and stuff, best things were a machete and binoculars. Kal_Zakath 10 Posted July 1, 2014 I've been to the ship 2 or 3 times now and the only thing I encountered was getting wet while walking around the higher party of the ship's inside although it wasn't even raining outside. I suppose the ground textures are somewhat like stable water atm so you walk on it but you get completely soaked^^ Only other thing is that when I logged out on the ship and back into the game I wasn't on top of it anymore but down on the ground. brumey 116 Posted July 1, 2014 (edited) i like goin to the shipwreck. always get a backpack there and sometimes also a gun. the only time i died there was to a camper in the woods shootin me. on a empty server! only he and me the ship is cursed...i mean it... maybe. but i m a tough man!
