0.46 should hit stable during next weeks maintenance (assuming testing and exp branch goes okay).

Not sure whether it's a new or a re-added feature (I'm a new player), but in experimental you can now enter sprinting mode while ducking (then when you stop sprinting, you'll duck automatically), whereas in 0.45 stable you have to manually stand up before sprinting. Not something game-changing, but very convenient.

Not sure if most of us Americans realize how far 300m is, but a grenade that maimed at that distance would have one the war for the Germans.

There are different kinds of grenades. Some of them can send fragments flying 200 meters away but the kill zone in this case would be about 15 meters. If you hit by a fragment 200 m away from the explosion it probably will just scratch you. And chances to be hit at that range are slim because they spread significantly. By the way, grenade usually makes a loud sound when activated/fuse initiated, I hope they have this in game.

He was in the Army guys!!!

Everyone respect him for his great contribution to Western Democracy and freedom!!!

Thankyou Barnabus for allowing me to sleep safely at night, wrapped warm in a blanket of consumerism and greed.

This?  From you, who thinks a German stick grenade can MAIM at 300 meters?  What is that?  A low yield nuclear hand grenade? Do you even know what maim means?  You actually think a grenade can kill someone from more that 2 football fields away?  You actually think you can engage a point target from 2000 meters with an M4?  Do you hear yourself?  Where do you get this shit from?

At least I have done something with my life.  What have you done other show people how stupid you are on internet forums?

Granade and new jacket.

Was testing the new jacket for past week and it wears pretty good, no bugs with it. I approve .46 to go for stable.

PS.

And the police hat with green stripe. Also works ok.

Would that happen to be the Gorka jacket i found on .46? Because its got allot of nice utility space for a jacket.

Or explode yourself because you waited to long to throw it. That would be the a terrible thing though. Realistic but terrible. XD

This is good news, and leaves me wondering what will occur with experimental once this is pushed to stable. For those who have been asking, 0.46 is mostly additional map changes in the northeast, a few additional small items, etc.

Since the lead map designer is going on vacation for a month, my guess is 0.47 will be entirely items and game mechanics.

It would be cool if loot spawned in different places and not the same old ones that everyone hops servers to get stuff. Loot spawnes at the airfield and electro etc. Everyone goes there first or waits to raid you there lol. what do you think? It would be cool to find loot everywhere and make guns a little harder to find.  Also if you could make bombs or explosives with shotgun or gun shells.

ya, give soldiers a weapon that they can throw 50 meters (if) that will kill them at 200 meters, great idea.

I read about a guy who got 2 grenades thrown at him (WW2) and buried one of them before it exploded. He survived it.

WW2? They would have figured out the right time for fuses by then (had a few problems in ww1) which was probably about 4secs. 1 sec flight time...

Dug a hole, put a live grenade in, filled it, boom in under 3 secs? unlikely. If he already had a hole dug and the grenade landed in it he could of had enough time to put a few shovels worth of dirt on one (or a wheel barrow if one was full near by).

The men were in a trench when two enemy grenades landed nearby. Lucas pushed a thrown hand grenade into the volcanic ash and covered it with his rifle and his body. He reached out and pulled a second grenade beneath him. His companions had thought he died in the blast, so they left him, but he was amazingly still alive. Severely wounded in the right arm and wrist, right leg and thigh, and chest, Pvt. Lucas had undoubtedly saved his companions from serious injury and possible death.

Forgot the name, appearently :P

That clears it up. They were right to assume that he died, almost nobody survives a double dose of grenades.

Regardless there needed to be a way to clear houses and enclosed spaces easier. The grenade is perfect for this being the most dangerous places are normally house fights in close quarters.
