Judging by the info of the files, this update looks like it may be huge for gameplay experience, at least for me. I can't wait for the servers to come online on Monday...

Mp5 doesn't have firing sounds, but the other smg does, and my oh my it sounds nice, recorded a small video but somehow uninstalled my editing software.

And yes can be a CZ 527 too but isn't the kar98 a 7.92×57 too? like Akm and SKS? maybe another gun for this ammo

Well, the update got delayed to Monday...*sigh*

I spy a mp5 with config.bin and a PM-63 rak in the weapons files.

MP5 was already leaked more than 2 months ago, alot of those files have been in the game since the beginning.

Yeah I know, but you previously could not spawn it due to missing config files, although its firing sounds still don't exist.

I saw that too. That's one of the main reasons I can't wait to get into a server. Major changer for how people will approach the map, hopefully. Something I've long hoped they'd do at NEAF, too.

Aww the 500mb update that just got pushed like 5min ago removed the MP5 and the PM-63 from the files.

Wait? What? Two patches, one 640Mb and another at 520Mb and we won't have any experimental servers will be up until Monday all the while the stable servers are pretty much unplayable? 

 

Well that sucks, to say the least. I'm not normally critical about the development process but they've dropped the ball on this one.

Personally I don't mind whether weapons are there or not, or in the codebase or not, I just want a working (and obviously I mean working in the context of Alpha DayZ) game/server. I can't play the stable ones and from what I am reading the experimentals won't appear until monday. I totally understand not working on the weekend, but you don't leave shit half finished on a Friday. 

 

Unless they have fixed whatever was causing the .45 patch to freak out on the stable servers.

 

 

Edit: Ok, it looks like they've just rolled the experimental branch back and the stable servers are now playable.

With new 500mb update they rolled back to 45.124426, so we can play again on stable servers with exp version.

Yeah, I just found out. 

Tell you what though, is it just me or has there been a change to the rendering? For some reason the textures look sharper since this update. Perhaps I'm imagining things.

 

The "session lost" bug is still there though. At least the app isn't crashing to the desktop once it happens.

I am SUPER UBER confused right now....

 

 

The 0.46 experimental update got renamed to 0.45 so they can use it as a hotfix on stable if all goes well with testing on Monday, primary change is an anti-cheat update to solve item theft hacks. Not sure if there are any other significant changes between the builds.

So was the 0.45 that just got pushed to stable on Wednesday rolled back before it was pushed? If so, what was taken out and will those "features" be included when the new 0.45 is pushed to stable?

Stable servers are unplayable for you? How so, what kind of issues are you experiencing? I have been playing on stable with EXP client since it was pushed without issues.

They were unplayable due to inability to log into a server, then when on one it was laggy, desynching and rubber banding badly. The same version that was running fine on experimental. However this now seems to be fixed. Check out my previous post to this one.
