Is weight ever going to be introduced if it is will it affect stamina.

Recommended Posts

so as the title says I want weight added sooner than later I seen the new AKM all jazzed up and thought to myself that gun would be heavy as hell 70 rounds plus scope etc. hell I used to have a 120 drum on an ar-15 and had to use a bipod and rest it on a hood of a car the damn thing was a beast. anyway this dude in the vid is just swinging this gun around with lightning fast movements and its BS. I also am tired of these vids where guys are carrying an entire server amount of ammo and food its stupid. I understand testin testing testing testing but come on this is arcade like kid stuff now. might as well add a Vulcan cannon and have us carry around the drum that's hauled in the plane be like Vulcan raven from MGS.

Can anyone find that video of the guy thought that legbreaks were too easy in game so he basically jumped off various heights with a full back pack to mythbust ?

The new AK with all that crap hanging off it should be pretty heavy.

Let's see:

AKM = 7.0 lbs

AKMS = 7.4 lbs

Drum = 4.9 lbs

PSO-1 = 1.3 lbs

Bipod = 0.7 lbs

= 13.9 lbs / 14.3 lbs or almost twice as heavy as with no attachments.

Hopefully weight is added soon not only do I hope it affects player movement speed and stamina but hopefully also the heavier the gun via attachments the more weight it takes to swing around and less effective it is at cqc.

Looks pretty daam stupid if you ask me.

Why are they bothering with stupid stuff like this ?

Why cater to the mall ninjas and the tacticool douches ? why not be authentic?

But there is normal AKM, AK-74 in game without all this things, right? Right?

You do realise that you aren't forced to have these attachments on, right?

I think he means that huge magazines means more towards a pvp fest. In a zombie apocalypse, which this game is meant to be, the attention should be more focused on survival, defence and sustainability with combat as an after thought. When you introduce all these "cool features like weapon torches and all this scopes and foregrips...." (was it MAtt Diggfoot that begged for these to be put in?) then it starts to look like COD.

Most people played DAzybecause they wanted a zombie apocalypse simulator - they wanted to survive and play out Walking Dead. The direction it's going it's going to be more like Gladiators.

I agree with that part, I think those attachments should be quite rare, the military bases need to be completely crammed with hard zombies or something, but yeah. I've noticed weapons/military clothes seem to be higher on the priority list :(

Yeah I want some regular clothes. On my HC character I have red pants and a bright yellow raincoat and red hard hat. Surprisingly I've been shot less at in HC and met lots of nice people. Regular is full of assholes.

I don't really understand your logic. Loot balancing will not be done properly until at least the beta, and we have been fully informed on the fact that they are working on zombies. Should they tell a third, unrelated, team of the devs (graphic designers) to stop working until those other teams have finished? And how will they ever get to beta if the graphic designers have been told to stop working on new items during the alpha phase?

I've been KOS'd more on Hardcore than on Regular, although that's because on Hardcore I seem to spawn right on the airfield, so it doesn't really matter what you do, you're gonna be shot at...

Hmmm....

I decided to do a test months ago and would run up to people on regular and 19 times out of 20 I would get KOS. I switched to HC, found an orange raincoat and red hardhat and went around finding med packs as I was going to hand them out to new spawns. Ran across a ton of people, all in various states of gear and barely got shot at all and had some pleasant conversations.

Absolutly has to be introduced. It was stated anyways that the running Speed will be different later on and is only how it is, since there is no alternative mode of Transportation in Alpha as of yet.

I hope they don't slow down running speed because of weight you carry. It's already a running simulator, do we really want it to become crawling simulator. Some things just will not work on a game.

As for weapon weight...Heavier weapon should have slower movement and added SWAY when standing. You can actually shoot pretty well and stable when crouch, not to mention prone.

Personally I think we should lower current "inaccuracy" of weapons and implement sway and hand shaking.
