SniperwolfMR 153 Posted June 10, 2014 Alright, I know I am going to be attacked by white knights with armor glistening in the sun but I accept it. What is going on with the update being released to stable? I am admittedly an inpatient person. I thought by last week people would be complaining about the rubber banding fix taking a surprisingly long time, trying to figure out what on earth is going on. Now we are on week 3. How long are you guys willing to wait before you start getting a little concerned with what the hell is exactly going on... Another week? two, three? Is this like, the hardest obstacle this team has had to overcome or something? "As long as it takes for them to get it right". Totally understandable, but I know everyone's patience has their limits. Is it sad to say that I'm totally not surprised that no one on the dev team has dropped a line anywhere on social media or reddit along the lines of "hey guys, the rubber banding fix is a real doozy, we appreciate your patience". Like how there is only a couple of developers left in their team actually working on the game. They sold their copies and now they are out of spending money to pay developers. It is no insult, it is just common sense. How are they paying their developers with no more sales? They aren't. Bohemia never had a large budget for DayZ and now the only people left doing the work are the couple people who think they can make more money when the game releases. Which they won't because the game will not be out until literally 2016 at the rate we are at now and there will be plenty of more interesting games to play then. If rubber banding is slowing the development this badly, what is going to happen when they attempt to implement vehicles? Well, the issue is that they obviously don't even know what "Early access" means, aka prior to release thus obviously going to have problems...hence why it was not yet released properly. I don't mind it when people complain legitimately if there really were jarring issues and the team were doing fuck all such as posting a patch every 3 months and only having menial things being added/fixed then I'd understand. Though when arrogance, self-entitlement and generic idiocy comes to play then that's when most people tend to poke at them to shut up. Also I'm pretty certain most 'white knights' understand that the game has it's faults but until they see negativity coming from the dev team such as shitty patches (without given reason) and unstable patches that cause more problems than solving (without anything being added) then indeed people would start to probably take up arms. Though they seem to have a 'monthly patch' schedule that they seem to be following quite well. They're constantly adding more things and fixing others with their own list of priorities that they will tackle in that order. I hope this helps with some clarity, I just stopped playing DayZ for now 'till it gets to a level I'm comfortable with. They're going to keep bitching every step of the way until release and then go about their merry way playing the full game right along with with everyone else while never being called to task for the prior year of them being a total ass hat.
