How is it going?

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody, It's me.  I have been busy with house moving n stuff, now I am back.

I decided to take Deans advice with waiting till there was more to the game than was at the time 2 - 3 month back now)

Whats changed, I have been out of the loop so hope you guys n gals can fill me in with the gossip and facts about the game?  I do want to get back into it but hopefully when there are less bugs n issues.  Is Dean still around? I heard he was planning to leave?

Give me a brief into the changes as being gone for a while the change logs dont seem to make much sense.

Cheers.

Hey there Michael! :D Good to see you around again buds, we've all been away from the game for a while it seems.

As said above exp has seen loads of changes as of late, although with huge rubberbanding issues. I have yet to see if these have been fixed.

It's come quite a ways tbh, although very far from done. And that's a good thing imo.

Fire places, fishing, the option to drink all of your water bottle(experimental), eat all option(stable) and loot inside houses that didn't spawn loot before

Lag issues and a few new toys.

P.S. reading before asking is always a good option.

Sometimes I wonder how people still think about things to talk about on this forum. The reason stable hasn't been updated was because of this rubber banding issue that arose from an update that was pushed to experimental. Evidently it's like...the hardest thing in the development world to fix or something...

there is nothing new, everything they have added is on exp, which has game breaking rubber banding. almost 60 days since last stable patch

I havent been on in a while either, jumped on very recently and couldnt get out of a house due to rubber banding...time to put it down for another month or so.

Regarding that rubber banding, how can arma 3 and breaking point have 100 person servers with high FPS and no rubber banding?

they are very very similar engines and before all the fanboys start harping on this point, why the fuck can they have such good performance and SA have such shit?

I mean BP has custom maps coming out and a new zombie AI mechanic that is very intriguing. Not to mention vehicles and weapons and custom sounds, etc. You would think all of the custom stuff would make the servers suffer, but no they run 60 person minimum servers.

where is the disconnect ?

Entirely different client/server architecture between A2/A3 and DayZ SA.

I'm guessing it's taking more fixing that was thought.

A status update would be nice though.
