shepard06 0 Posted June 6, 2014 Hello guys, Since the latest patch I'm having a lot of problems drawing my weapon. Yesterday i tried to draw it like 10 times before I got killed. Every time i pressed a number um the hotbar ( in my case i used 3 for magnum) the character draw the weapon and holster it back again. Im getting this more and more. I tried to change my keyboard configuration but still nothing. Am I the only one getting this? Regards Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
randomspawn 215 Posted June 6, 2014 typically, i see issues with it on laggy servers, and i also find it helps to at least drop my guard before drawing another weapon. If I have a pistol and have drawn down, it is very likely to glitch if I attempt to draw a long rifle. BadAsh (DayZ) 1513 Posted June 6, 2014 The problem is that if there is some lag or something, there can be a bit of a waiting time before the animation begins. If you then press the number again because you thought it did not register, then the action is added to the queue as you unwielding the weapon, so when the animations finally kicks in all the times you pressed the key are carried out, causing your character to take out and put back the gun for the specific number of times. The lag in connection with the hotbar is an issue, and in stressful situations I have begun using the inventory options instead (dragging gun to hands or right clicking "take x in hands") instead, as it is currently a much more reliable way of getting your gun out fast. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
shepard06 0 Posted June 6, 2014 I usually play in 40/40 players servers. and it's no the case of double tapping the same key. I really think that is server lag, or actions lag. Yesterday I tried to use the menu to throw away a magazine, the magazine dropped on the floor, but still appear on my backpack. On the other hand...having a flatmate with a unhealthy *i guess, P0RN* addiction dosent help with pings or transfer rates either... Not gonna lie but that sounds a bit um... rude :D @OPAs someone else (maybe more than one, but not read the entire topic) I find this happens on laggy servers or where your ping is high, I just came from EXP Singapore server with a ping over 270 (not usually a ping I'd play with but finding it hard to get on them servers) and every time I tried to pull my axe he would but then put it away again, this wasn't happening on other servers were I was getting a decent ping (100 - 110 US servers and 24 - 34 UK servers) Edit: Now I wish I did read the entire topic and checked the date >:( Edited July 26, 2014 by RagedDrew 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
