Bororm 1156 Posted June 2, 2014 Hit the NEAF, I get a lot of squad fights up there. You can get some in Berezino too but it's a clusterfuck with the randoms. Fought squads in svet too, but again, can be a bit of a mess. I think the NEAF is the most reliable place right now, but you have to deal with wall glitchers in the jails. I suggest sticking to the outskirts of the airfield, and not even bothering with those fuckers.

bauertschi 254 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) you're gonna have to organize squad/team pvp Easier said then done. That's two problems, first convincing them that looking around corners in 3rd person is not something they should want and then getting them to to leave Berezino. And then there are those who get fed up with dayz for obvious reasons for a few days/weeks. But of course what you say is true. kimmaz 63 Posted June 2, 2014 Just wait till base building, vehicles and helicopters are added. Most fights will be clan vs clan, most likely north somewhere assulting another base. With the lack of transportation, its easy to just stick close to spawn. also 40ppl is not enough to keep the whole map full of action making a small part of the map used makes it so its easier to find action. In the mod, spawns was on the coast, between kamenka and solincity. but most of the pvp happend north of stary trader city. When someone died, or we lost a squad, we had someone patrolling the air. helicopter taxi for our clan, from the spawn, to base for gear and into battle. if you died you was geared up and in battle within 15min. I played on a server who was split in 2 teams or clans, sweeden vs russia (most players was from sweedish or russian) Its not like ppl was running and had deathmatches on the coast. nobody was on the coast, exept from solo players (untill they was contacted and joined a side if they wanted) Just wait, the deathmatches on the coast will fix itself once the game has more content. theres nothing wrong with neaf, or the spawns. theres just nothing to do once geared. theres no endgame,, no enemie base, no safe to stash full of gold, no base to build. but there will be! just wait =P
kimmaz 63 Posted June 2, 2014 Remember we was attacked by a team in a black hawk with minigun, they had someone jump out and take sniper positions. and shot from the air. we jumped on a ally ts channel and got backup from a black hawk of our own. air battle and ground battle at the same time. I held suppressing fire using a M240 scoped. others went in the woods to flank their sniper. we shot the gunner in their helicopter, and then we tracked it to their base. then we jumped into a few 50cal Humvee and got after em. was fun. I think everyone on both sides died multiple times but thanks to helicopters in the air. we had ppl back in positions in no time. we also had a gear up base at pusta (just above electro) with helipad for ,maximum efficiency =P Its gonna be great when this comes to standalone. but for now, I just play when there's a new update. That sounds great, but it is basically what worries me. I hope DayZ will not turn into something like that. How important is your chars life in such cases? I think the main reason for all my adrinalin is that it is actually worth something. Hours to be exact. And what exactly does that have to do with a zombie apokalypse? Don't get me wrong, what you describe sounds really great, but isn't it the wrong game? Edited June 3, 2014 by bautschi
kimmaz 63 Posted June 3, 2014 I understand what you say. this is a zombie survival game, not battlefield. If you can imagine the zombie hoards from the walking dead. 100's of them packed in every city. then maybe the fight is human vs zombie. you need a clan of 5-10 ppl to make a assault on the neaf to even try looting it. for snipers in the woods for overview of the situation and a squad entering the site killing 500+ zombies. imagine that! Any lonely wolf would be happy to barricade a house and just survive. there would not be any pvp, as most good loot required you to kill 100's of zombies. most would use basic bolt action weapons as you can find them in a barn. Also I wish that Hardcore servers would copy the idea from Diablo 3, once you die on a hardcore server your basically banned from it. you have one life, no respawning! this would remove KoS on hardcore servers i think! JPWiser 251 Posted June 3, 2014 They currently have\are adding content in the North East, therefore spawn points are there to increase the traffic in that area. Once people can spawn from zelengorsk and all along every point along the coast it will even things out. Always remember they try and emphasize the new content. Spawn points will be a living being for a long time.

qww 287 Posted June 3, 2014 i think theres a lot still to be developed with the map, and loot spawn locations, im not really concerned with at all, just taking it as it is for now generally.its not as busy as east of course, although i do see players in north, south and west areas, nwaf is definitely not safe on full servers unless lucky
alsmir 255 Posted June 3, 2014 Every single squad I know from the mod is waiting for SA to become at least half-decent. Hopefully you'll see more squad combat in 6+ months (if most of game breaking issues get fixed). Just play some Arma2/3 while you wait.
Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted June 3, 2014 How to initiate squad combat Step 1) Get some friends who own DayZ and join up on teamspeak or whatever VOIP you desireStep 2) Look for servers Named "Herp Derp Clan"Step 3) Check population of step 2 serverStep 4) Press P in game and check player list to see how many members of "Herp Derp Clan" there isStep 5) Happy hunting and good luck. Btw "Herp Derp" is not a clan that I am aware of. It was my representation of "insert clan name here" Also, there is a small chance that the "Herp Derp Clan" will kick you from their server.
