cejota14 130 Posted May 26, 2014 I wanted to ask, has anybody noticed the increased, annoying and repetitive issue we have with this? I mean. I can loot a whole hospital, get out and run down the street only to be teleported back to the roof of the building and fall to my death.
Saunders (DayZ) 21 Posted May 26, 2014 The joys of experimental, eh? I've stopped playing on them now I can't hack it anymore :P Atleast I got to play about with most of the new features though so I am prepared when it comes into the stable servers :D! It was a horrrible experience when my bungee cord that kept me attached to the building for 20mins snapped and i died :(

DemonGroover 8836 Posted May 26, 2014 It will be fixed, it is experimental after all. These things happen. Try walking out of buildings instead of running/sprinting, apparently it works.

According to Hetstaines bible, you can drink or eat whilst exiting and it breaks the rubberband cycle. No confirmation on my end.
pycco 38 Posted May 26, 2014 lol the best "rubber" i have had is walking off a building(kid was helping me play) dying, leave server, eat some food, rejoin server expecting to be fresh spawn. was at top of building over the edge.....evil fracking rubber. Silence4all 35 Posted May 26, 2014 I found that walking from the build & taking a different path than I bounced back from really helps. I play from a shitty 3G wireless connection & have noticed that I have not had any of my normal desyncing problems, just the rubberbanding.

Irish. 4886 Posted May 26, 2014 Vanilla Ice gave us the best advice for how to beat rubberbanding: Stop, Collaborate and listen. Just take a short break outside of each building if your getting rubberbanding. Look around, have a snack, etc.. Then walk away, or crawl if its really bad. When things get super out of control the only thing to do is prone crawl away and take breaks every 3-5 feet. But thats when its reaaaaally bad.

Poindexter 11 Posted May 26, 2014 The rubber banding is caused by the server marking your spot at the roof or on the top floor of a building, then when you run out the server cannot keep up with your pace so flips you back to where it last recognized you.The way to avoid this is try to move more slowly when leaving a building and stay away from the walls and rails on either side of your path (thats when the server 'spots' you). The other methods mentioned earlier also help with the addition of removing your trousers just before exiting. Basically you are doing something that forces the server to recognize where you are.Hope this helps (and works)

antykain 200 Posted May 26, 2014 Taking things slow and steady will decrease the chances for rubberbanding, as others have said.. Especially around/in buildings. Server side low FPS is the main culprit it seems, which this is effecting all experimental servers as you all have experienced. Slowly walking, not running/sprinting, inside of buildings will save you the annoyance of rubbberbanding. It does work.. I've not had much issue with rubberbanding in the open areas, i.e., woodland and plains, etc.
Hetstaine 10852 Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) STOP SPRINTING WHEN IN BUILDINGS AND/OR EXITING SAID BUILDINGS.WALK SLOWLY OUT OF DOORWAY AND THEN STOP FOR A FEW SECONDS SO SERVER PICKS YOU UP.SPRINT MADLY.MESSAGE ENDS. brumey 116 Posted May 26, 2014 i rubberbanded into a hidden room in the Office building ! stuck game will rubberband me back even if i remove pbo'S! all fixes from the past seem to not work anymore!
kast 15 Posted May 26, 2014 This not rubberbandig. Like i understanding, this is client and server understanding where is your position in the world. Like the world is little bit off on server side. So you will be stuck in corners or walls.
