More fun at berezino than I ever had

I recently decided to just head down to the cluster fuck called Berezino just to see how bad it really was. 

 

After weeks of just hiding out in the forest with the best gear, always afraid of dying I just decided to "fuck it". 

 

Ran down into the lower part of berezino and at least 10 players with mosins and SKS' were all down there shooting each other. I killed at least 3 people with my M4 before I got shot and killed. I ran back and talked to some people and we all ran around crazy just getting gear and dodging shit. It was so fun lol. 

 

Definitely better than being a loner in the forest.

Great things about the great Berezino:

 

See someone without a helmet? Flank 'em, knock about, take their equipment and slot 'em. Once in the head, should do the trick.
See someone dead? Take their gear and run for the hills!
See a hostile group? Get some music pumping and run to their location, they'll soon be dead after everyone else knowing their location and the equipment is yours!

Here is how I see it, and the generally people who don't come to these forums, as my steam friends.

 

You try to survive, you try to loot, you have no contact with players in other cities that are not hot lootspots you get bored because there is absolutely nothing to do once you geared up to a certain point, there just isn't any purpose in the game if your just going to survive with no interaction.

 

You end up saying "Fuck it" lets go to the PVP zones, you get into a gun fight, you kill some people you die, overall it last 5mins you say holy shit that so fun!

 

You spend the rest of the hour, commiting suicides to get better spawns, dying as a bambi trying to knock out other players, running for 10-15mins because thats the closes spawn you had.

 

You get a gun and again you enjoy your 5-10mins of gun fight, Then:

 

You spend the rest of the hour, commiting suicides to get better spawns, dying as a bambi trying to knock out other players, running for 10-15mins because thats the closes spawn you had.

 

You and your friends get bored after realising how much time goes into the down time, rather than the fun part.

 

You log off and come back to the DayZ after some hours when the the delusion sets back in and you forget the pain and remember that 5mins of fun gun fights.

 

But yeah Alpha, so we got a wait a year for it to all be sorted.

 

If you don't believe me go watch the most popular DayZ stream out there on twitch, get a note of paper and write down what happens within 1-2hours whilst you watch, then read your notes, you will realise how much times goes into just doing absolately shit, for that 10 mins of action pack fun.

You could always be a hero and help people on the coast with food and water, take them somewhere to get equipment and to survive.

does drive you crazy after a few weeks of isolation, especially if you game alone, even a zombie is a welcome interaction, i try and move all over the map, i dotn wana just shoot people  cause not all people with guns are my enemies, but i will try and move into svetlo or berezino, hang about a bit before getting out alive if possible, games cool to play alone, but also with someone else

The other day I just sat watching people from the cliffs over Svetlo.. because Berezino is a tactical nightmare. I wanted to come down and say hi, but I just couldn't. Its been so long since I've seen people face to face, alive, I wouldn't know what to say. It looks like they all just kill each other anyhow. So after watching I started to load my rifle. Night set in so for now all is safe in Svetlo. But soon the sun will rise.

i saw this guy wasnt you was it ? hahaah overlooking svetlo for a  minute or so on hardcore 2 or 3 nights ago, i was with my bro in the  hills directly to the south a few 100 meters. not sure if he saw me, but soon after i took the screen he moved up into the trees and we lost sight. prob wasnt you just funny coincidence and i had a screen too

yeah its though the binos and  it changed to focus on the tree as i moved mouse slightly when i went to press screenshot.

so yeah its not in focus behind . at the moment i took teh screen, but no biggie,  binos are  a bitch like that in the trees depending on your exact position. anyway guy had mosin light clothing and cowboy hat i think. i can make him out clearly on the pic when i click on it for full size tho, player is about 600 meters away from my position

anyway hombre, if you have problems spotting a guy in that pic, you got to increase your spotting ability man haha

I'm either having fun and laughs with friends on TS whilst messing about in DayZ or just out hunting people in PVP areas.

 

For the life of me I couldn't just watch people with the intention of doing nothing or trying to survive alone in this game.

 

Take away multiplayer from this game and I give this a honest 1/10  game review, there are just wayyyyyyyy better games for single player.

 

What would the review consist of? Saw some buggy ass zombies, punched them to death, went round looking for loot, eat, drank, found a gun, shot a few zombies, went up the police station fell through the building and died... day zzZzZZzzZzzZZZZZZZZZ.

Gave away 2 m4s and several other things and bits on Bambi Highway this Weekend. Even dropd an axe in the middle of a fistinghappy Bambi Group wich lead to my demise shortly after. Hillarious.

 

Berezino is a slaughterhouse at times but you can also meet some pretty cool People. ( friendly/foe rate was around 6 to 4 in favor of the friendlys, even found a Group i manage to navigate to another Group whom killed me earlayer and enjoi how they slugged it out while i was looking :D  )

 

I gave up on trying to survive as Long as i can. Its just boring since you tend to avoid People OR you run in a Group, whom, also will get bored ending up going down to Bambi Highway /Berezino...ect...

 

Of course i can run around for 2h comming back full geared knowing i will NEVER use the 80% of ammo/gear/healthstuff since i will die sooner or later anyways. Sure there might be the Patient types who observe a town for 20 minutes before making a move but eh...that gets boring after a while, so i just YOLO my way in and out.

What I personally find funny is watching the Youtubers talking about going "bandit hunting."  However, what that typically means is "heading to Berezino and getting into a fire-fight with other probable bandit hunters."

 

Group A: "Hey, look over there, bandits!"

Group B: "Hey, look over there, bandits!"

 

Whichever side doesn't survive was surely the bandits. But what can you expect. Attempting to actually communicate would exonerate you from probably being the bandit, but you'd still be dead. Stalking them to see if they actually do something bandity would get old pretty quick, and is risky. Finding armed players in the game and shooting them isn't bandit hunting, even if they fire first, especially if you outnumber them.

I was on hardcore, overlooking things.. and at one point just felt like I was being watched and needed a bathroom break so I walked into the trees and laid my guy down. I left and did my thing, came back about 15 mins later at the most and the sun was starting to go down, my guy was safe and now thirsty. So I drank some water, checked my ammo.. and eventually logged out.
