Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted May 8, 2014 The Standalone is awful right now, Epoch is a thousand times better so the sooner we get base building, cars and tents the better. DayZ will not be like epoch. Sorry to burst your bubble
victusmortuus 1074 Posted May 8, 2014 DayZ will not be like epoch. Sorry to burst your bubble what part of the dev team do you work on mate? Why wont base building, cars or tents be in the game? or are you only talking about traders and missions.

Epoch took what DayZ was and crapped all over it. Anyway, this thread is not about that. Edited May 8, 2014 by Caboose187
preacherlr 614 Posted May 8, 2014 moderators hate free speech here especially if it talks bad about the game or especially if you talk about their competition H1Z1 so yea they may lock it if more people complain about their development.http://xkcd.com/1357/Have a read of that. Come back when you understand how free speech works.

Anyway, this thread is not about that. If they don't add base building then they're missing the point of a zombie apocalypse, just sayin. So yeah man, what's it like being all knowledgeable about the Dayz development? :) Base building and an improved stamina system are also on the horizon for DayZ Standalone, though Hall warned that both will be gradual releases instead of single update deliveries. A number of factors will influence a player's stamina, including hunger, thirst and illness, and the DayZ creator says the team at Bohemia Interactive is looking at ways to incorporate a weight system into the game as well. As for base building, Hall said he and the team want players to be able to leave their own mark on Chernarus; however, adding those systems will be a slow-going process that will begin with the introduction of barricades. Have a nice day sir. Edited May 8, 2014 by Victus Mortuus

Hell, I'll dig up a thread that a friend of mine made that got shutdown right away by our friendly mods when he asked about base building. Mos1eyThe map would end up full of clutter and weird looking shacks. In a real life apocalypse scenario why would you build a loveshack when there are thousands of decent houses that you could live in?Crafting items has been planned for a long time, but you will not see Rust-esque building AFAIK. Have a nice day. Edited May 8, 2014 by Caboose187

magazine2 25 Posted May 8, 2014 Hello I am sorry to the Moderators, I think I started a flame war ;/ I was expressing my opinion, and to those who are saying the Devs are lazy, I'd like to see you try and program a game on the arma engine. anyway, keep on the positive side of things ;)
SGT. Kalme 106 Posted May 8, 2014 I am glad that DayZ was made into Standalone, at least. It has potential, I am just waiting and hoping that it will do what it was promised to do. I don't give a damn about that few euros I spent, I just want a game like no other that would give me unforgottable gaming experience like mod did, but even better. Being reasonable, I don't think whining on forum helps developing that game. I give them time, as much as they need and hopefully they don't let their fans down. Please, proceed.
Inception. 9443 Posted May 9, 2014 But do not hijack other people's threads that merely want to thank the Dev-Team. In case people missed this. There are a million other topics to discuss Dean Hall's laziness and how he is a bad person.-- And to the poster above, moderators hate free speech here especially if it talks bad about the game or especially if you talk about their competition H1Z1 so yea they may lock it if more people complain about their development. You are absolutely correct, I especially despise anything and everything to do with free speech. It's not something that we allow on the forums. Any mentioning of H1Z1 is a big no-no. We don't lock threads based on whether they're positive or negative, ya know. Yes we do
ra1n_ 10 Posted May 9, 2014 I must say when as far as I am from Berezino, I enjoy more in game :DMaybe progress is slow, but people.. if you gonna flame and hate their progress... if you know better go do it (make it) or whatever.. leave devs alone they're doing their best to make as better gameplay as they can. Personaly I love this game, it's different it's good and it will be better, try supporting them instead flaming.
igor-vk 909 Posted May 9, 2014 Also, Dean is leaving Dayz because he believes it is flawed at the most fundamental level and it could never live up to the game he wants it to be. So he will leave Bohemia and make a better game. Don't believe me? Go and read the interview. And to the poster above, moderators hate free speech here especially if it talks bad about the game or especially if you talk about their competition H1Z1 so yea they may lock it if more people complain about their development.its so flawed that 2.000.000 people bought it despite thousands of youtube videos of bugs, glitches, cheaters, hackers?
