Has anyone ever played barefoot?

Recommended Posts

In-game..for longer than 1 gaming session? As in several days, weeks, months?

Im wondering if anyone out there has taken their shoes, boots off and just went barefoot, how long they survived for and if there were any ill effects or things noticed like fall damage, etc.?

Im thinking of ditching my boots. They "glow" at night just like glasses and masks do (the artwork has an iridescence about it and you can see players with these items exposed much easier at night than you should be able to).

Always do. No negative effects so far. There's always those times when you just feel like a tank, getting shot by a mosin and walking it off, etc, and most of those times I have felt like that were when I have been barefoot.

I'm waiting for socks.

Yeah, I have. Sadly, it doesn't make your footsteps any lighter. And there's no effect to it. In fact, other than storage and bullet resistance, clothes don't either. Can't die of cold so running around shoe-less and pant-less has no effect.

In fact, the other day I was playing as a girl. Didn't wear pants or shoes. Just my vest, pack, and a very beautiful red wool coat. I kept asking people we'd meet if my dress was pretty. Good times.

Yes, when I was playing a "Hero" I ran around with no shoes all the time and gave stuff to new spawns......in return for their shoes. Well, really, they didnt have a choice, I had a gun, they had shoes that I wanted. So I guess I was kind of a bandit...although kind of a reverse bandit; er, kind of a really pushy salesman with a poor understanding of value. The shoes....I needed them, I wanted them. I WAS THEM.

Not how a foot fetish works. He wanted shoes. Not to lick those dirty, fresh spawn feet... mmmmmmm

I've come across several people in-game claiming that wearing no feet gear reduces their walking/running sound on surfaces such as floors/rocks/roads ect.

To which I reply with taking off my boots, running across the road and it sounding like I have boots on, so no it gives you no benefit at all.

Its only safe to go barefoot in Australia as there's less pressure on the feet, and definitely not ok in Ireland.

Hope this helps.
