U.N Berets/Helmets

I don't know about ye guys, but I love the new U.N Helmets and Berets! I always take them and put them on, in hope people will see me as more of a peaceful player. I mean...The big blue head is easy to spot, so that means they're not trying to sneak up and kill people! I think it should be players who wear these berets/helmets should be considered as players who kill for self defense. Not actively kill. Can we make this a thing? Hahaha

I play as more a survivor type, crossbow, choping axe, hunting/craftable pack, beige hoodie, black webbing, beige/autumm/brown hunter pants, black or purple radar cap or beige hat and some beige military boots, i really like the look and beleive people wont just see me as another loot pinyata as i only carry what i'll need for one hour tops plus a few bolts and an engraved 1911

I usually wear a blue checkered shirt and a nice little hat (whatever I can find). I hope this makes people think of me as a hero.

 

I believe my current character wears:

A cowboy hat

An orange Taloon pack

Blue checkered shirt

Assault vest

Blue jeans

 

My character looks like a pretty trustworthy guy.

Thats pretty much what i have on at the moment. But i do wear a mask and plan on wearing the gas mask once the helmet gas mask combo becomes available again.

 

I also tend to get less conflict when i run into ppl as well.

I like when people dress the way they wan't to be picked up as in the game. Like dressing as a true survivor. But sadly people just think, guy, danger *shoots*; Whatever you wear. That's why I liked the U.N head gear. It's very easy to spot and if it becomes a thing...Then perhaps a good way not being shot on sight and making friends!

I want to wear my beloved gasmask. But I know that as soon as I do, even the ones who have waited a sec before shooting at me will then just start fireing without any second thought.

 

It's a sad time when you cant wear what you want without being taken as a hostile.

I've NEVER fired at anyone without reason.

They're hostile if they don't respond to your speech, if they stalk you, if they're spotted shooting somebody or capturing somebody, and obviously if they shoot at you. Though everyone should be assumed as hostile to be honest...I suppose in the end of the day you can't trust anybody.

Not everybody shoots on sight, I see many people and unless there in my shit ill normally let them be on there way and stay out of sight, and quite often judge people by what there character wears. I like to think that maybe many people notice you but just stay out of sight and let you be, and that it seems we only come across kos because they are shooting at us. Nothing against kos personally it keeps the game interesting but I stopped doing it on the SA to try a more neutral approach.

OT: my guy has a green check shirt, blue pants and a black bball cap, sometimes I wear an ushanka. I also wear brown combat boots, brown gloves and a hunting pack. I have a mosin with only a compensator on my back and an amphibia with mag in my holster. In my pack, though, I have a pristine LRS, bipod, x4 scope for mosin  and an engraved 1911 with a couple mags. From the outside I'm a friendly survivor, but in my bag I have all that is needed to become deadly at range and in CQ.

And by your outfit, does that mean someone won't shoot at you? I've killed many a "Survivor" looking player, there known as victims.

Did I ever say I was looking to avoid getting shot? I'm fully aware of the fact that most players would shoot at everyone and their mother, no attention paid to their attire. The survivor look is just RP on my part. My current character has 6 confirmed kills and a bunch of hold ups (I prefer not to mindlessly shoot, as most players do, but hold them up), so I'm hardly a carebear myself. I have to say that 42 kills in 19 hours just makes me suspect you selectively attack players with less gear, though.

 

Majority of the players I've killed in the last 5-6 hours of gameplay have been at airfields. Fully kitted players. Only 4-5 have been without primary and those were bambis trying to melee me to death.

Ugh, I've been having such bad luck at airfields lately. Especially NWAF. No-one ever runs into my crosshairs. You'd think there'd be a few players there in a full server. I always get players running into the jail when I'm looting, but when I'm looking to get some kills they're nowhere to be found. But oh well, my 1911 served me well in CQC anyway so who am I to complain? 42 is pretty impressive. I'm in Stary right now, you come along and see if you can make it 43, we should have the place to ourselves  ;)

I wish it were that simple. Friendly detection is impossible - if you are human, you are a threat with cool stuff, therefore people are obliged to shoot you. What color you wear has zippo to do with it, 95% of the time. If you play catering to the 5% of the time, you won't live long enough to gather the cool 'good guy' gear. Stay unseen to survive and kill without hesitation if needed for defense - it's the only way that works at the moment. Unless you like the coast and flash light gig...

I actially do not give a duck what i am wearing, i tried be banana-man and wear bright colors etc. - Same got killed

Walked in the middle of the road like a bossssssssss - it's my new stategy - go on populated place, do not take weapons in hands, and walk like i am Chuck Norris

Sorry about the bad quality, unfortunately I'm yet to acquire a desktop which will allow me to look at my character in HD quality, instead I have to get used to very low settings. :)
