JaredB 20 Posted April 29, 2014 Ruined. Completely ruined. Dayz of gearing up. 15+ sets of Binoculars and 40 round clips for my M4. UN Helmet. ETC ETC. Looting a hanger at SWAF. Saw zombie on airfield, no response to my presence. I go into the hanger, no loot worth taking, I walk in the direction of the entrance of the hanger. Pause for screenshot. BOOM! Hit by a zombie. I run forward out of the hanger in instinct. ALT+Mouse to look behind me in 3rd person, no zombie. I run out into the grass patch, zombie is still there unresponsive. I get hit 4-5 more times while continuing to run away in the direction of the barracks. Hit after hit. I log out, realize I can not get away from this invisible zombie. Wait a few minutes. Relog into new server. All.. Gone.. All that gear gone and I'm a fresh spawn. You have got to be kidding me..... I'm going to wait a few hours and retry in the morning. But this is bullshit. TL:DR, you combat logged, so your character sat down for 30 seconds while a zombie pounded on you, which is what killed you. Most likely. But I was getting hit fast, while in full sprint.. That's no problem! Bolota military camp - search this place on 1 or 2 servers and you will have a backpack full of LR scopes, ACOG's and so on. Binoculars are rare? One must be blind to say that. Spawn -> military camp -> fully geared and that takes you only an hour, because you had to run there. Getting tired of all this, need something new. At least some information.
