now that i have 7 magazines and two ammo boxes with 1200 rounds in them after one pass of NWAF and this encounter

 

i'm gonna go say hi to the next 1200 players that i meet

 

(plz fix the m4a1 and loot spawns at military camps this is ridiculous)

In all fairness he was just as bad at shooting as you were, well no worse and that why you survived. Come on down to NEAF and you won't be so lucky lol

The M4 is (potentially) quite the accurate rifle, despite its reputation for the opposite.

With pristine MP buttstock, MP handle, bipod and Acog, I can reliably hit target 600-700m away while prone (with deployed bipod).

Max dial range for the Acog is 700m.

 

Its a very versatile weapon used correctly (with the right parts).

Agreed. I think the data-miners say it doesn't matter, but it always feels better when everything is pristine. I think where pristine matters more is clothing. It gives you an extra level, so to speak, to absorb damage.

 

On a side note, my damaged press vest got turned to pristine yesterday when a zombie whacked me in Balota area.

I like the M4A1. But it does require having the MP buttstock to be useful. Also, there is such a thing as single fire mode..

I avoid using it because it has 0 style points, but every now and then it's the only gun I've got and I've become a recent convert.  I thought it was shit based on the dispersion before, but now I realize that when you can shoot 60 rounds or have the right parts, it really doesn't matter how many shots miss because a few are going to hit and that's all it really takes.

 

Personally I think the mag sizes should be nerfed.  At the very least coupled mags should require a reload.

Also, in exp. at least, if your item of clothing/backpack is ruined it will degrade items held in it.

When I encounter a player with an M4A1, I'll knock him unconcious, replace his M4A1 with a nice AKM, and blast the M4A1 to smithereens right next to him. Then he'll learn to use a real man's gun.

I tried this once in the hopes of my M4 being a capable marksman rifle, but I couldn't even hit a zombie from 300m. My M4 has a pristine rail handle, stock buttstock, bipod and ACOG. Ridiculous.

That's my problem with the system.

 

The m4 should be as it stands the 2nd most accurate weapon in the game regardless of what parts it has or not.

 

Even an m4 without a handguard should have the same accuracy as one with one.

 

When it comes to accuracy the order should be according to real life values.
