Sinphaltimus 262 Posted April 17, 2014 I was playing Hardcore mode when I recalled having captured this video a while back in regular mode. In HC mode, I didn't like the fact I couldn't glance over things that were just a couple of inches too high without standing straight up and exposing my entire body, that's when i wished i could do this in Hardcore mode...
Dchil 829 Posted April 17, 2014 We could have a "Peer over things" option/button. Could be used for being in cover like you want and finding things on high shelves that you can only see in 3rd person normally.
byrgesen 1341 Posted April 17, 2014 Give us the option to stand on our toes to look over object that are a little to tall, or peak over a low wall, when crouched. It could be a "all-in-one" key, like Dchil mentiones, but i tihkn its easier to implement a new stance system, as having one key for it, could potentially be really hard to code correctly. With a stance system, similar to Arma III, you could achieve this easily :)

doctorbadsign 645 Posted April 17, 2014 Stance adjust from Arma 3.... It's soooo good, DayZ needs it.
enforcer1975 1111 Posted April 17, 2014 Something like a stationary hop might be good as well.
Sinphaltimus 262 Posted April 17, 2014 the video was a periscope joke but you're responses are spot on with what I really mean. In HC, getting in a deer stand, you must stand up to watch over. Crouching blinds you entirely. I wish I could knock that top plank off with an axe. but any ability to peak (of course exposing a small portion of your head) would be very welcomed. Especially for Windows.

The left and right sides of the deer stand can be fired from whilst crouched, it's just the front that is ever so slightly too high for the crouched position (if I remember right). Have a go and let us know if it is still like that ;)

Richard III in Leicester 200 Posted April 17, 2014 Yes I think I'll go find a deer stand as well when I finally get home from work and have a look :D Being able to peek over things and out of windows, still a great thing that they need to add the the game though
Sinphaltimus 262 Posted April 18, 2014 All the excitement, i never checked the damn deer stand... :(
Richard III in Leicester 200 Posted April 21, 2014 Lol I forgot too - remembered and checked one earlier today, yes you can see over the fence of either side in the deerstand but not the front facing bit. Ladder glitched when I tried to climb down, broken legs now. Damn.

nexventor 429 Posted April 22, 2014 I would absolutely love it, especially if it was introduced to first person perspective only or only HC mode.
