i want to play the game FiretrUCKing badly but im afraid of losing my stuff

 

thats really weird because i know for a fact that it isnt hard to refind loots

 

but something is just stopping me from playing dayz

 

why?

Or accept this fear, because that's what the developers want, that way you won't take stupid risks (Like killing people) and so you'll feel a sense of loss when you do die. Ahem, this type of feeling was intentional.

To get over your fear of losing gear: try playing on experimental these days, 8 out of 10 chance you will have your character wiped after a server restart ;)

getting used to dying, not really picking stuff you want (like carrying around a "special" item your in love with, like a pristine banan, or a super cool clothing set, just casually play, and set a goal like "i know i will die, and i must do whatever i can (whether you bandit or hero) until that moment occurs, all i can do to minimize my chance of death is by practice, and hard work, and this life will help me survive longer in my next, then i can worry about my gear, when i truly put MYSELF to the test of survival.

You dont have to be fully geared. Just have somethkng you value and then get killed. If you have something you really like such as a pristine can opener or walky talky im not telling you that you should get yourself killed tho. TAKE THAT SHIT AND RUN MAN.

literally just kill your character, its much easier than having someone else do it. You'll feel much better on a fresh one

yeah the first time I did it was by jumping off the fire station in electro, now dieing is part of the fun as i like gearing up, because once your geared their ain't much else to do.

Get somewhat kitted and go to the busiest place on the server and run in all guns blazing. If you have fun dying, then dying aint so bad.

Will trade you near anything for one... Been looking for one forever..the only one I found I had no rifle to put it on and got gunned down while eating a can of spaghetti i a bush lmao

Switch to hardcore after gearing up a "Normal" character. Then, no matter what, you can say "I have X, Y, and Z" even if you aren't actually using it.

Go and kill your player on purpose. Its hard to do, but the liberation you will feel later will be worth it.

 

This game is really best when played without any fear of death, or loss of gear.

When you next die don't get kitted out to the teeth. Take a basic weapon and a few other easy to find things and just go wild on heavily geared players. You'll die a lot but you will end up not caring.

When you stop caring about those items start looking for more rare loot and do the same thing. That's how I got over the feeling of caring about my loot so much.

Use the fear. It will make you better. Put yourself in risky situations and the fear will keep you on your toes.

I was sniping from a building earlier while my teammate was down checking another building and I thought I heard footsteps. It could be ambient sounds like I always hear, but I checked anyways. Immediately to my left was a guy with a shovel who opened the door to the room I was in. Being afraid and keeping my eyes and ears opened saved me from losing my LRS there.
