Has anyone tested the Zeds behaviour on this ?

Recommended Posts

Hola All,

Curious on how the zeds deal with the following situation.

Let's imagine you and a mate hiking in the woods, a horde of aggro zeds gets on you. Both of you fight what seems to be a losing battle, and so you think, "stuff this, I'm out of there", and promptly bash your mate hard.

He's down, broken leg or whatever. Will the zeds focus on him, giving you a lucky break ?

Mind you, not that I'm planning to do it. But would love to have an answer <_<

Gaming rig down, so no testing my end.

Yeah, right. :D

Well, I don't think it's necessarily going to happen. As far as I know th eZombies are targeting different people depending on the situation. You can pretty much get the aggro of a Zombie off someone else. Considering he will fall and you keep running you might actually aggro on you then.

So I don't think it will be worth testing out.

Would be pointless to test it at this point since zombies extremely simple and are going to be changed.  I haven't seen any zombies the last time I played (I occasionally heard them but didn't see them or got hit by them) so I think for me at least they're bugged.

I think it's just they aggro to the closest person at this point so theoretically your idea should work if you knocked him out or broke his leg.

Look on the bright side, should his friend live, he'll have more balls than the guy who ran.

If I remember ArmA AI, it doesn't work that way.

Zombies aggro the "most known enemy". Be seen raise quickly your "known level" to a point Z will engage you. You have to keep distance some time until your level decrease enough, and when your level is below another level (from another player also most "known" at that time), Z will change target.

If no one known except you, Z will stop to go after you when your "known" level decrease to 0.

Every weapon firing have audible and visible parameters, it mean instant & often huge "known" level transmitted to surrounding zombies.

So if you shoot in your mate leg ahead while zombies are going to reach you in a second, I think they would ignore your mate and keep chasing you. -because of the weapon-

This isn't the mod or Arma. The zombies were made from scratch. I'm like 82% sure they just aggro to closest player at the moment once they are in aggro state.

If the zeds are already aggroed on him, he is dead if he goes down. Any that are aggroed on you, will not stop for a player on the ground, regardless of what condition he is in.
