In my experience, the second you have a backpack, you are bait for anyone who is a "loot whore".  I have been a new spawn with a backpack and been shanked for an empty backpack.

I can't see a primary weapon so I think I would let you live, as soon as you started doing any animations that suggested you were getting that axe or a pistol from your inventory I would shoot.

My current friendly outfit is:

tan tactical shirt

Beige cargo pants

Yellow/ orange hard hat

Orange mountain bag

(Optional) defibrillator or med kit in hands

To me it's just the right combination of inconspicuous and calming... Also it makes you look like some kind of pathetic sewer technician

If I wanted to focus solely on friendly looks though I'd probably do:

Blue checked shirt

UN beret

Blue cargo jeans

Blue school bag

Once there is no firearm then shooting on sight is out of the question for me, personally I'd get you to a safe place whilst my snipers scout the area to make sure it's not a trap, the rest of my group would move up with me in a formation to cover all grounds if engaged. Once we are certain that it is not a trap and there is no immediate danger; then we'll help you out with medical treatment or to see if you needed any firearms or escorting.

 

99% of the time we wouldn't take anything off a fresh spawn unless that fresh spawn tried to attack us and was killed, then we would spare out the food and what not.

All I had was spawn clothes and a tan boonie, I.met a guy in a yellow raincoat and we were ok (in berizino) and he comes running back with the man following. I took off an he chased and when I turnes to fight, he was magically invisible with an fnx... Screw alpha and desync, that was hacks XD

With that orange raincoat, you stick out worse than a sore thumb in a basket of anti- "sore thumb"-print paper. I wouldn't shoot you, but keep in mind that the human eye is drawn to both movement and contrasting color (we are hunters, after all), as as such, you fail on both counts. this is my working theory as well, though I think not wearing a mask (even gas mask or resporators) makes you seem more friendly. what I mean is I think you can make some choices with clothing that allow you to be seen as less threating, with out looking like a Christmas Tree.
