Irish. 4886 Posted February 23, 2014 So just wondering, since Im bored.. what is peoples average lifespan in dayz? So far it feels like I can live longer in the SA versus the mods, but I wonder what other peoples opinions are especially those that are new to dayz. LOL.. some of my favorite moments are when you've died and you just go out and yolo it dying on purpose or running through Cherno blasting sidechat.. its hilarious to just let go and act the fool in dayz sometimes. soulfirez 901 Posted February 23, 2014 Yeah id say 10 to 20 hours its much easier to stay alive in the SA than the mod due to the fact that loot is much better spread out so we are not all converging on the same few loot spots hell even in the major cities i have heard gun fire blazing and still havent seen anyone while ducking in and out of the many MANY buildings that carry loot . Plus i get off the coast usually instantly but every now and then i come back when i feel its time to die and start over... last life 49 hours (21 kills in the end) but usually it more like 10 to 20 as i said. Sunslayer 13 Posted February 23, 2014 Depends on the server population and whether I decide to look for a fight. When you are fully geared up, there isn't really much to do but to kill other players. Thaurus 38 Posted February 23, 2014 Current one is allround 50h, been into all sorts of combat and somehow survived .Usually my characters last for about a week or roughly 20/30h of gameplay. I gear up decently (m4 with magpul/sks with PU) + green/tan clothes and a vest in about 2 hours if I'm solo (killing people to get gear is faster than looking for it yourself). Once I gear out properly (fully pristine M4 magpul attachments, all TTSKO, 500+ bullets + mosin with LRS etc.) I typically just go looking for trouble in hotzones with my friends. jamiereid_wow@hotmail.co.uk 46 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) Can live for a day or two usually if I avoid Electro / Cherno / Balota and go on a loot quest; though I always feel very lonely and perhaps a little paranoid about not seeing or hearing another player in a multiplayer game; and end up going back down to Electro for some action and ultimately my death. If i do the straight to Electro run after fresh spawning; its usually 1 - 3 hours of mayhem then death. Many times even less than an hour after getting close to Electro, but the challenge; action and unpredictability is usually fun.
