Well you could've stated the presice situation of what happened in the OP, instead of letting people assume things because of the lack of consice info in the OP.

 

Appart from that, I have not had this happen to me ever in the normal branch, only experimental. I seriously doubt it is the stable.

I already said I am on the stable build, I have not downloaded the experimental build since DECEMBER

 

So unless steam downloaded the experimental branch FOR ME, and then LET ME USE my normal character that I have had for DAYS playing on low population servers.....

ALSO, THIS HAPPENED ON A LOW POP SERVER

 

Pretty sure there are no emtpy/low pop experimental servers with CLAN NAMES on them.

I tried asking early in your thread about your gear and if you were running a lot, as I would truly like to know what causes the heart attacks. You chose to ignore my questions, so I was just saying how I hope it will work, not passively attacking you.

Not giving information is not justification for others to assume things and be assholes about it based on assumptions.

 

I will state again, I was on a normal build server. The server was a CLAN SERVER and was ALMOST EMPTY.

You shouldn't "play" for hours. This is an early alpha stage software meant to be tested. Of course you can have fun in it, but bugs/glitches are everywhere and it's up to all of us to find them/report them so they can be fixed.

On a side note, at least this is still in alpha, as there a "completed" games out there with game breaking bugs...

On a final note, don't get too "attached" to virtual or material things. It's futile. Enjoy the moments and create memories, it's the only thing that will really last till you die.

Or do as you wish. ( I just don't have the luxury of wasting positive resources to get me back up from "feeling bad/mad" in video games. I rather would spend those resources for all the bad things that happens in real life... ;) )

I hate to go straight to the alpha argument, but ALPHA man!!!! They are going to break the game at some point, they are going to add things in that u cant cure, or fix, or prevent, they are going to make it almost unplayable at some point during optimization. Thats the point of alpha!!! You arent here to enjoy the game (although it might be a side effect), you are here to test...TEST!!! 

 

p.s. just read second page of thread and realize logic and facts are beyond op....sigh

I'm not exactly attached to my gear. But If I have to lose my progression, I want it to be a proper death. In a firefight, killed by another player, even falling off a building. Random heart attack? I won't be playing until they figure what that shits about.

I agree with you 100%, and if this is an ERROR then it is an extremely bad one and NEEDS to be fixed, SO INSTEAD of going STRAIGHT to the board to report this error I wanted to make sure that it wasn't intentional!!! HOLY SHIT WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND

I know it might be hard to remember. But can you give us a more detailed description of what you were doing, before, during, and just at the end of the heart attack? Something might have triggered it, that you might not know of yet but others do and can tell you.

I already said many of these details but I will start again-

 

 

This was for sure on normal branch build, I was in a server with only one other player in it and it was a clan server called Bandit Hunter 24/7. This is a normal branch server.

 

I was not travelling or running for long periods of time, I was looting Zelenogorsk, walking and sprinting between buildings normally. 

 

I had only one rifle, an M4, with only one pistol.

 

I had only one ammo box full of ammo, no small container cases, two medical cases

 

Normal amount of gear with room/slots left in hunter backpack

I can only advise everyone to have your Screenshot key at the ready for these weird things. Screenshots are the way forward in alphas.

 

Would be cool if we got some kind of confirmation from some dev on this.

Either:

A - Something specific caused the heart attack (ie. trauma) as heart attacks aren't intended to be random

B - It's a bug, which isn't exactly rare in an alpha

 

Either way don't be *so* upset about it - at least not towards the devs. This is part of the development process; with new features come new bugs. With new bugs comes fixes. No offense or anything.

 

The weirdest part is that it happened to you in stable.. considering that heart attacks supposedly weren't added until the latest experimental build. I haven't not experienced this myself or heard of anyone else experiencing it as of yet.
