Trouble finding guns?

I don't know about you guys, but in my week of having the game, Ive only found two guns, and not very good ones, either. Do you guys struggle to find military grade gear? If not, where do you get it?

Head to the big cities and you'll have no trouble finding your noob cannon (m4). I've found them everywhere, especially in the building sites strangely.

Here's a little hint-

Go North. Don't worry about military grade equipment yet. I've killed 15+ military bandits with my sks and 2 with my magnum. If you're really looking for military gear go to the bases north of Kamenka.

Hi.

 

This morning I did a run thru of Vybor, found 2 or 3 SKS's, a Mosin, 1 of those double barrled rifles and an M4. After that I went thru the NWAF which had been looted(all doors were open) and found 2 more SKS's, 2 magnums, and 4 or 5 M4's lol.

 

There's plenty of weapons, when you get away from noob central(big cities and the coast).

He is right about inland.. I found 4 moisons yesterday, all in small houses, etc.. all inland. In fact, get the hell off the coast as soon as you spawn. 

 

Yes, it may be intimidating to not see water if your new, but guess what? When your new you're always lost anyway. So go get lost. Explore. Loot.

 

Now about the M4, he is incorrect when you have MP attachments on your weapon. The M4 is quite accurate if you have it geared properly. I can get clean headshots, 1st try every time at very good distances with my iron sights. Now in general he is right, the M4 can be terrible if it is stock parts or damaged in any way. But it is not the only mil weapon in the game..

I always found, Blazes, Magnums, Splitting Axes, SKS, Mosins and clothing, food, backpacks and a lot of shit that I don't need...fuck military gear man :D

Well while I don't really care if you believe me or not, I was talking about NWAF not the small military camp you mentioned.

 

But yea, the NWAF has 2 bunkbed buildings, 3 jail cell bunkbed buildings, 1 fire station, 1 ATC, something like 8 military hangers, and a pub. That makes for a shitload of possible weapon locations. All of those buildings(except maybe the pub) can spawn multiple weapons. O yea, I almost forgot the 2 bunkers in tent city that still spawn mil-gear.

 

Those orange buildings you talk about in vybor, spawn rifles on the ground level as well as the top of staircase, and yes I've found 2 in them plenty of times. I've also found 2 guns in the post office weapon room as well, and don't forget weapons also spawn on the roof of that building. Rifles sometimes spawn in the second floor room of the big gray shed by the piano house on the south end.The most rifles I've found in Vybor at one time was 10.

 

Vybor is my home, I loot it all the time, occasionally I will only see 3 guns like you said, but usually I find a minimum of 5 or 6.

 

Meh, dunno why I'm wasting my time with a guy who calls bullshit lol.

While I call bull on 5 M4's in the Vybor mill base and airstrip I to have found alot of guns in Vybor, the brick building with the arch has spawned 2 on more than one occasion for me, and there are 3 or 4 of them in that town + the office building and the two piano buildings and the industrial complex just north + the two barns on the way to NWAF its not just possible but down right likely. I've never found more than 4 long guns total at NWAF even when the server just reset and I check every building, including the one to the north in the woods and the two story improvised lookout towers. Ive got tons of experience in Vybor/NWAF.

You need to familiarize yourself with the types of budings that carry weapons: schools, hospitals, fire stations, textile factories etc. Use the Dayzbd map and make note of where the red dots are (weapon spawns). Also keep in mind that for whstever reason schools dont have red dots (this ones big.) Remember every school you find because many players just mindlessly run to the red dots. Also, most servers run on a 4-5 hour cycle. When a server is reset, either by an admin or by the cycle, all the

loot is fresh.

Also, and Im probably going to ne crucified for this, but its just not fair if you dont know, you can switch servers in places where weapons spawn. This can double your chances of finding a weapon. You will be hated for it. Who gives a fuck. The reason you arent finfing weapons os because other players are doing it too.

Don't be dissing on the M4 all that much.

Used properly it is pretty dang effective, even at range.

 

Many times now, I have gone days without an LRS, but somehow manage to find pristine ACOG's like theyre cigarette butts...

 

Just earlier this week ( i think monday) I managed some pretty darn good "M4 sniping" on NEAF.

Not too hard once you learn about semi-auto fire selector...

 

And if theyre not wearing ballistic helmet, a single headshot puts em down!

 

Here's a hint --> Get an ACOG and zero the M4 to 100m and LEAVE IT THERE FOREVER. The vertical breakers along the scope is 1 for each 100m. Heck, 2 of em are even marked "4" and "6"!

 

VERY effective in good hands. (also, doesnt hurt to use all Magpul parts...). Bipod + prone for over 200m is a pretty good idea too.

Spend some time, make the effort - and handling it becomes quite accurate and powerful.

Ah right, my apologies, i thought just the small camp outside the airfield, east of Vybor. :P Yeah Vybor is one of the most beautiful and best loot-spawning cities i've been into, besides Svetlyorsk.
