ESP hacks are annoying

Recommended Posts

After you fall victim to them, it makes you quite paranoid that everyone who out flanks you is using them.

The death I just experienced was pretty suspect, as I was hiding behind a big treem I was in 3rd person and suddenly someone shoots through a bush and hits the tree exactly where my head was. I panicked and ran down the hill and hid behind a bush. Again, in 3rd person. He pops over the hill with a Mosin and then BAM, shoots through the bush and headshots me. I'm unconcious and then shoots again and I die.

Please, put my mind at ease. What other explanation could there be?

Seriously though cheaters should have unpleasant things crammed in unpleasant ways into whatever orifices happen to be the most convenient for the applicator.

Sorry pal, it sounds like you're correct in suspecting ESP. I am seeing more and more cheaters every day. It's actually getting pretty discouraging.

I'm not playing anymore until the next patch comes. When Wednesday comes and the game updates, I think that hackers and third party software programs have to update their hacks so they can be compatible with the build. Just like mods, no?

I was actually expecting more people to come in calling me a big baby who got outplayed and came to QQ on the forums.

Don't get me wrong, I get killed all the time and this is only the second time someone killed me in a SUPER obvious waym the first time was my first 2 hours and someone killed me with the .pbo exploit.

That means there were a good 300 hours between seeing a hack, or at least an obvious one, and that's pretty good. I've had some really questionable deaths, but not something I could say was a definite.

Hopefully BattleEye works this out because I have seen a LOT of demo videos on YouTube showcasing ESP and auto aim hacks, and this worries me.

I wonder if Youtube will ever issue a rule regarding to hacking and use of third party software built for the multiplayer feature of a game.

Most of the people on the hacks are complaining about blatant hacks, like teleporting. Seeing that ESP and Aimbots are starting to be reported on the forums this early into development is pretty discouraging to see, especially considering they have 2 anti-cheat systems.

Technically, they're not anti-cheat systems. These systems flag users that are cheating and then bans them on waves.

BattleEye bans them from the network of servers that use it, and VAC bans them from VAC secured servers (All Valve released games with multiplayer have servers that feature the VAC protection software, meaning that if you cheat on DayZ, you get banned on those VAC secured servers ON OTHER GAMES too.) Note: Those other games are over 60 in numbers. See this link on what games have VAC protected servers, at the bottom. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valve_Anti-Cheat

It sucks. So easy to get "hacks" for a game anymore. :/

Most major games like this have ESPs for players, items, and more incredibly earlier- Its sickening.

Eww. I had someone teleport to in front of me as I was about to make a shot and he got a sks to the face haha. Was bad timing by him, he literally teleported in and then turned to face me with his gun already up as I shot at something behind him. Pretty good karma I think.

well no, now that I think a larger percent of the community has now been a victim of said hacks and stuff, so I think everyone is less likely to call someone a noob for getting "desync killed" or "out luld" or whatever kids are calling it these days

Doubt it. It's not YouTube's responsibility to be the hack-police for video games. There's far worse content on there that they do nothing about.

As to the OP it COULD have been a lucky shot. If he's seen you running into the bush he could have fired at roughly where your head would have been and got lucky - it's a shot I'd probably take. But that being said it still sounds pretty suss.

I thought they claimed they would be able to stop the hacking in the standalone?

Game is going to die before it even reaches beta status if it gets to the same stage as in the mod.....

So can we finally agree that hacking is a major fucking problem with dayz compared to any other game?  I have seen less hacking during the early days of Counter Strike.  Seriously, this is beyond fucking ridiculous.   If Rocket has any pride or concern for his creation, he would focus on this issue right now.

No one can stop hacking in any game. Period. That'd be like saying you could write an uncrackable program. Mitigation is the only thing you can do.

Hell no. Played BF4 recently?

If it's beyond ridiculous how come there's plenty of people that haven't seen hacks, myself included? The OP even says he's got 300 hours up and only seen one or two... Hardly ridiculous.

Guys, guys! Don't worry. Remember this, bans come in waves. These cheaters must have already been flagged by BattleEye and VAC as cheaters and they will be banned along with some thousands of people that are also hacking. The numbers might surprise you but what can you do? What makes me happy is that multiplayer only games that have VAC secured servers will be useless to these hackers when the next wave occurs. :)

Name me a game that isn't hack-able.

No one can stop game hackers, this is the truth.

I just dont understand what the hacker gets from this??? i have alot of sqf scripting practice ( you cant spend hundreds of hours making arma missions without learning to use sqf , well not really interesting ones any way ) I have even on a private server basicly done my own shall we say hacks to be able to do a on the fly interactive mission...

By that i mean for the clan i play with i made my character invis he could fly teleport i could spawn in stuff he could take the form of the npcs so i could relay info to the players in a rp fashion ( no comments on being a nerd please i already know) basicly i gave myself the abilities of what a DM in a MMORPG would have...

Now i never tried to do this on a public server but with nature of arma2 it wouldnt have been hard to do ( i wouldnt want to get banned from playing a game i love) But i just dont see the well point of it what do you gain sure you can kill people easily lots of people but wouldnt that be boring after a while??? i mean no one likes playing AI because there boring and predictable so we play against people because there a challenge why then remove the challenge by injecting scripts???
