The Golden AKM has a plausible explanation for why it should be in..

The Golden AKM was also an Easter egg in Arma 2. The pictute I have up is the only one I could find that looked good. If anyone has another picture please post it

I'm not sure if this has been suggested, and if so, I apologize. But what if we added the Scar-L and Scar-H as rare weapons like the M4 or even more rare. I mean, I know it doesn't fit the area at all, but I was thinking back to the American campaign in Chernarus from Arma 2, what if the outbreak happened before they left? That would explain the downed Black Hawk helicopters we find and the M4 being in the area.

Did someone actually ask for that piece of shit striker ? probably the bigest hunk of shite that I have EVER had the misfortune to handle. I'd rather take a rusty old Baikal than that.

Of you noticed only one gun I suggested was a military shotgun. Not AK type shotguns, but civilian. I own a 16 gauge A5. Motherfucking amazing gun on Doves.

Not to mention we're also getting the MP-133, which is ALSO similarly-named. Of course, both are definitely acceptable. Saigas are magazine fed, but the MP-153 and 155 are tube-fed guns, so both would play out differently.

 

That, and the guns don't necessarily have to be Eastern European. Benelli, SPAS, Remington, Winchester, Browning/FN - all sorts of other shotguns are out there.

Nope but neither is being the worst possible shotgun a criteria for it being in the game either. Most people who don't know the weapon just think its great because it looks apparently 'badass', should that be a criteria for it entering the game ?

I did not at any point state that this game should have only the best weapons with no flaws so stop trying to put words in my mouth thank you.

More Saiga and Vepr Shotguns are in civilian hands then in military use. Just because it "looks" menacing doesn't mean it's a military weapon. However there are several pros to introducing it such as the accessory rail is compatible with AKM attachments and it can be located at civilian and military locations, requires a magazine, so it will lead to balance between tube fed shotguns, and of course are semi automatic.

 Most people know the weapon from it's prominence in the STALKER series, a game that is also set in East Europe. Just because the gun is somewhat of an oddity in the gun community and few have handled one or even seen one isn't grounds for dismissal. If you want to talk about a gun that has no place, we can talk about the Amphibian S. Seeing how the current weapons roster isn't 100% based on location, you can stop freaking out about it.
