I guess scaring the absolute sh*t out of somebody isn't fun according to you.  Also it doesn't need to be in your backpack if you just double carry it.  Blood could be added in the next update for all we know, and there's only been rumors about a character wipe (new years) but to my knowledge, nothing confirmed.
