YassirX 54 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) Note: This video was not made by myself. I've used the sawn-off IZH-43 and iron sight with this weapon is extremely inaccurate... you will not be able to hit the target.Even if you fire from the hip, which seems to be the only option, the shots have extremely high dispersion... I stood 10 meters away from a target and shot with iron sight aiming straight at the body... and the shot missed.Additionally I have been shot at with a Sawn-Off Shotgun several times at close distance and never received any damage. Gekkonidae 270 Posted January 26, 2014 Yep. It's good for killing zombies (even though extremely loud) and that's about it. There's really no reason to saw it off without slugs being available at the moment.I would just use a regular shotgun. I cannot tell you how many times I missed on players using the sawed off from even 10 meters away. Thing is worthless.
Deathlove 2286 Posted January 26, 2014 Yeah normal shotgun is great but the sawed off needs WAY more tweaking from the developers. Currently you cannot find the green slugs since patch. Iv only been able to find the red ones.
hypergolem 39 Posted January 26, 2014 Of course it is not accurate... It is a sawed off shotgun, wide spread, huge kick... I don't even understand why they gave us the option...
Etherimp 1323 Posted January 26, 2014 Sawed off version is only good in extremely close quarters, like inside of buildings.
Deathlove 2286 Posted January 26, 2014 Sawed off version is only good in extremely close quarters, like inside of buildings. But if it STILL takes an extreme amount of shots to down some one than its best just to take the M4 any day in most situations even in close quarters.
dallas 5195 Posted January 26, 2014 I just took down two players, I rounded a corner in the hospital stairway and blasted both barrels. I quickly stepped back into cover and reloaded and when I rounded the corner again to finish the job, the job was already finished. Thank god I had zeroed my shotgun to 50 meters. hells high 676 Posted January 26, 2014 A short barreled, smooth bore firearm is inaccurate? Colour me surprised.

It doesn't take an extreme amount of shots to take someone down if all of the pellets hit. Also, keep in mind that if ANY pellet hits someone in the head (not difficult in close quarters), then you're pretty much guaranteed a kill on the first shot, as there is a heavy damage multiplier on head shots.. Assuming they're not wearing a helmet, of course. My buddy and I fired a sawed off at a barracks window from probably 5-8 meters the other day, and the spread was such that it covered the entire window.. At anything beyond 10 meters, sawed-off shotgun is useless.. However, if you manage to engage someone at 5 meters (such as, coming up/down a staircase or rounding a corner), 1 shot to the mid section should drop them. The zeroing from 50-100 should make virtually no difference what-so-ever.
Etherimp 1323 Posted January 26, 2014 well in real life if any of that shit hit period im sure the person would be down because of the pain if they survived a pelt blast. Not necessarily.. The pellets are small, and offer very little in the way of penetration. Again, totally depends on how many pellets hit and what part of the body they hit. Obviously getting hit with even a few pellets IRL would send you into shock, but you can't underestimate what the human body is capable of withstanding when it has adrenaline pumping through it and someones survival instincts kick in. Space Milk 195 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) A short barreled, smooth bore firearm is inaccurate? Colour me surprised. 55 yards is about 50 meters. The 55 is with slugs.Buckshot would definitely hit the target at that range, he missed barely. Edited January 26, 2014 by Space Milk

Old_Crow_Whiskey 119 Posted January 26, 2014 Of course it is not accurate... It is a sawed off shotgun, wide spread, huge kick... I don't even understand why they gave us the option...You can fit the sawed off shotgun in your pack. The regular shotgun must sit on your shoulder. Personally I haven't used it but you could give the sawed off to a new player to test their loyalty? Worst thing that can happen is you get a little bee sting right?
-Gews- 7443 Posted January 26, 2014 Thank god I had zeroed my shotgun to 50 meters. You can "zero" your shotgun? They don't have adjustable sigh... Sigh.

I had a Mosin on my shoulder. True but elektro has streets as well. You want the most adaptable weapon there, which is the M4. Good in both CQB and short-medium range combat.
