blurhitz 244 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) What do you mean? All the servers having the same time in-game! So you can't escape night time and it becomes more realistic. Well its not global for all servers just 98% of them there are 5 servers that have custom times, and all the rest are within one minute of each other. Maybe those are from a different provider and some people who host some of those already know how to change it to daylight? worst2first 71 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) If this was a conscious decision by rocket, it was a bad one. Edited January 23, 2014 by worst2first
blurhitz 244 Posted January 23, 2014 If this was a conscious decision by rocket, it was a bad one. If they intend for it to stay this way, I would like a refund. Good luck, Steam doesn't offer refunds, if I'm not mistaken :thumbsup:But there are still some day servers, as they're saying, you can go check them out :|
-DMG-Jonesy 226 Posted January 23, 2014 Stop overreacting. There are daylight servers, most of the admins haven't gotten around to fixing their settings. No big deal.
ultra1776 9 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) People with day jobs will be forced to always play in the darkness and I cant see them doing that it doesn't make sense. The gamma and brightness works sometimes but sometimes the moon goes away and its pitch dark even with everything up. ted striker 11 Posted January 23, 2014 Is there any update on why this has happened and if it will be fixed?
Rammur 59 Posted January 23, 2014 They need to either brighten the nights or get rid of them or simply start adding nvgs sooner than later nights suck in dayz always have but some mods for the dayz mods added starry nights making it toleratable learn guys learn from them. Chiapet 3 Posted January 23, 2014 I thought this was supposed to bew about realism? we got night for how long? yet somehow i go from having a full belly to starve to death in the course of 2 hours? seriously? cmon. If we are gonna be forced to play at nigh based on our playtime, at least make starvation and dieing of thirst a tad more realistic other then death after 2 hours.
-DMG-Jonesy 226 Posted January 23, 2014 What setting is it? My server boots up at 9:00 am and then instantly changes to real time GMT. At least the time should be local to the servers location. It could be my provider (ViLayer) just not having it setup correctly or not have the option for to set anything in the config. I hope its not a permanent setting because I don't often have time to play in the daylight specially not GMT's daylight being as I live in CST. That would put the game being dark for me on our server pretty much every time i have a chance to play. People with day jobs will be forced to always play in the darkness and I cant see them doing that it doesn't make sense. The gamma and brightness works sometimes but sometimes the moon goes away and its pitch dark even with everything up. I see the option for server start time in my config. I always set it to noon. Jonah_Hobbes 171 Posted January 23, 2014 I'm sure this is not a permanent feature. Realistically it makes no sense. If you are surviving in a zombie apocalypse then when darkness falls you would hold up in and secure a building. Even with night vision you'd still not be venturing out to often.
