KOS player (I know because I am KOS player) is master of abuse 3rd person for find players stay safe and make kill without guy ever see nothing :thumbsup:  ;)

 

so, if you are using 3rd person please think before you complain about Kill on sight

 

and if you get butthurt from always you die from murder remember how easy it is for bandits to make murder with 3rd person exploit tool

 

Since I see light and put away comedy crutch 3rd person mode I have less opportunity for kill on sight

 

is more chance other guy see me first :|

 

is more chance for me to expose myself to player I don't even know is around :o

 

and I love this facts that my job is harder more challenging and every kill have more value :D

I dont use 3d person when loot or kill some one, i do it only to find out how i looks like while sit in tree or laying in grass. So complain about 3person is stupid. Because shooting from it is stupid, impossible to loot and if you use camera to find someone, well i have bad news for you, you are blind piece of shit which one have tranplanted hooks instead of hands

i like third person, not for the glitches just for awareness of my surroundings. it's no advantage if you DONT look over walls and shit because you still have to turn around and face your target however the looking over walls and wall glitches need to be adressed, this has nothing to do with kos, seeing someone easier doesnt make you want to kill them more.

quite a cool idea and i can see where you are coming from, the more experienced players of DayZ (mainly those who played Mod/Arma 2) may choose first person only as they are used to it, and those that are new to the game (me) will use 3rd person because it is easier to use. those who are experienced probably arent going for the MUST KILL EVERYTHING approach and are more playing as a survival sim. whereas beginners who have come from CoD, BF3/4 and other FPS games think this is an oppertunity to shoot everything because that is the game.

 

i used to complain about absurd amounts of KoS because i was a noob/idiot but now i feel more experienced i  can deal with everybody trying to shoot me, and if i dont want to be shot i go 1st person only or Low pop

I kill on sight and only play first person servers... Its more fun. Even today I opened fire on a dude (1 chest shot and he was prone super fast) and what followed was a 1 hour game of cat and mouse ( he won and if your reading this I tip my hat too you good sir). I play lone wolf style not because I don't have friends that play but they all say I am way to methodical and get board I want to move from tree to tree slowly checking every angle, camp places strategically for long periods of time waiting for someone too stumble into my web . But I digress.

 

While I am new (did not play mod) I believe private hives will sort it out... want to play action pack 20 minute restarts go ahead... you paid for the game your not wrong in wanting to play it that way. Me on the other hand will be finding a 3pp off day/night server with minimal restarts... why because I paid for the game and want to play it that way.

 

You can't love a sandbox style game then tell people they are building there castle wrong (3pp wall looking aside)

This is the worst poll ever, simply cuz all options you can choose are biased and you clearly understand how this poll would have an outcome just determined by the phrasing of the question. Next time you do a poll, keep the options neutral.

And KOS is not determined by 1st or 3rd person view, it is determined by what kind of player you are, which experiences you made recently with other players and simple luck. You can be assured, as the game progresses and there are more things to do, KOS will decrease steadily, it will never go away completly but atm its just because there´s nothing else to do really then kill other people or get killed yourself and re-gear (which is the funniest part of the game)

My thoughts on the points in this post:

 

 

- I like 3rd person. They won't take it out because it's well liked. Don't like it? Play on the optional 1PP servers and stfu. It's the same sort of preference you will get with private hives coming up.

 

- I love and accept KoS gameplay. I realize it can be miles more intense with 1PP, but I don't give a fuck. I'll use the same 3rdPP advantage as the next guy.

 

- I realize 3rd person makes potential KoS occurrences happen more often, but again, I don't care because I like 3rdPP, and the choice is up to the individual.

This poll doesn't make any sense. 

 

KoS happens in 1st person perspective-only servers too you know. You're just talking about it being easier to spot someone in 3PP, which everybody already knows. In 1PP it's only easier to not see your opponent coming because of a narrower view... 

Really not getting the connection between 3PP and KoS.

The issue is not shooting from it.  The issue arises in what you can see. FOV is virtually identical, but in 3PP you have a free floating camera above you head allowing you to see AROUND and OVER objects.  Let's say you are prone on top of the firehouse, or any building with a ledge.  In 3PP you can move your camera and see if someone is heading towards you to try and enter the building and get to you without ever exposing yourself to danger. Now you're fully prepared to blast him when he comes up the ladder by getting information you can't get in a 1PP server.

 

Now if you are playing in 1PP and are prone...can't do this.  That guy you shot at...is he coming for you?  Did he take cover?  You won't know unless you get up and look.  Peaking around and over walls, things of this nature aren't possible in 1PP servers unless you expose yourself.  That adds to the inherent danger and atmosphere of the game and that's how I like it.

 

Nothing better that coming around a corner and having two players scare the bejesus out of each other.  Hopefully there's no itchy trigger fingers ;)

 

I personally prefer 1PP but will never bag on people that prefer 3PP.  That's your choice and I have my preferred server to play on.  But just know that it DOES provide an advantage.

Your poll is a joke. Someone said i needed to leave my "easy-mode third person server" and try my banditting skills on a "hardcore" 1st person server. I ended up kill like 17 people (went from elektro to nwaf and just chilled there) and everyone I ran into was awfully terrible shots, bad strategies, and usually clueless from where they were getting shot from. Just my 1 experience on first person servers, but I won't go back. Too many noobs thinking THEY are the hardcore ones.
