What are your thoughts on people against KO punching?

knockout on guy with helmet is easy because knockout happen when jaw going one direction top of head going other way ;)

I know this I doing boxing for 5 years and I doing too many time KO on guys B)

 

but they should make damage happen to hands if you doing this in game

Ofcourse they should keep the knockout punch, its fantastic. Currently motorcycle helmets makes you immune against face punches, so if you are scared of silly freshspawns or you are a freshspawn camper, wear a helmet and they cant do anything to you.

 

Btw a sidenote for motorcycle helmets, just for science I tested if my motorcycle helmet would protect you from a axe hit to the head, it didnt, ruined the helm and made me unconcious while bleeding from the head and broke my legs.

in fact helmet add to lever affect because is stick out more than jaw and is more rigid thing

So far ive noticed that guns do absolutely nothing compared to when youre fighting someone with an axe or even fists. Fists end up knocking you out when guns wont even have any stopping power. add something to stop gimli from tanking a bullet to the chest and taking me out even though I just pumped a clip into him.

The helmet is so heavy. Your head rocks to one side, you lose balance and awareness due to visability loss (3rd person view? hur hur).

Basically 1 punch and you have no chance, regardless if you get KO'd 

I have no idea why they're in the game, the moto helmet only protects against bullets, which should be rare. so you're roaming in a helmet 24/7 in case you get shot in the head???? which is 1/10 chance of happening? 

What was Rocket Smoking?

I only agree as far as game mechanics are concerned.

I (in my youth) boxed, and many years practicing kung fu and jeet kwon do. Being that you character (in game) does not have years of hand to hand combat training AND what a helmet is actually designed to do...

The sole purpose (pragmatically usefulness) of the motorcycle helmet is to provide protection against going unconscious from a blow to the head. There are three 'major' 'good night buttons' (as I like to call them) above a persons shoulders, ALL are protected with a full face helmet (save for a 'perfect' uppercut...and I mean perfect...).

That all said, this is a game. As a bullet is considered the 'great equalizer' AND we finally have the ability to melee without weapons AND this being a game, fists should be one of the most OP weapons in the game...

Another way of looking at it is this. Equipment (not talking guns and attachments) should protect you from all organic environmental threats, except from other players fists...

 

EDIT I remember as a lad, two fights 'on the field' on playing (American) football, the other hockey. Both times, the respective idiots took their helmets off (and playing hockey, that dude dropped his gloves. Foolish actions by both of them... I took a number of blows to the helmets and laughed and laughed while I bloodied the noses and lips of my would be assailants... IRL helmets will indeed offer massive protection from a pugilistic attack, however as implied above, I agree with the mechanic in game of easily KO'd while wearing  one.

He's right. Also, if you've never been punched square in the face, it fucking hurts. Your nose is especially sensitive and it will definitely stun you. I got punched repeatedly by some drunk douche in a bar a couple years back (fortunately I was pretty buzzed so it wasn't too painful) and my jaw still clicks to this day. Stupid hardcore rockers.

Do moto helmets protect from bullets? They should'nt, a bit o high density foam with a hardened shell over top(well might stop a .22 killing yah.... might), ive never found em that heavy irl...

 

 I havnt been in a boxing match yet in game. (my boy killed a dude this way with character) dosnt the q & e work for swaying? a ballistics helmet isnt gonna save yah from a smack to the face, only fore head shots, and the behind the ears, i can see kos's point on moto helmets, but it would be hard to catch a chin, if yah got it tucked in a moto helmet.

 

 Ive been punched... a lot square in the face, and in all honesty, it dosnt hurt at the time, well not for me.. after, yup... during a fight no. But all it takes is one lucky (or unlucky  depending on which side o fight)  punch and its lights out for a bit.

I disagree. This is a game. Plus it's not easy to get a KO punch. You have to know where to aim. Not to mention, it's not instant kill like knife kills in FPS games. 

 

Keep it the way it is. If you get KO'd then you either suck or you were afk.

its not hard, I Ko punch coastal campers all the time its the easiest way to get gear.

Rofl, i`d like to see anyone with only rudimentary fighting skills KO punch someone wielding any form of meele weapon, let alone a gun. 

 

You need to be extremely well trained to take on a guy with your bare fists,even if he only has a wrench, becaue that wrench can hit your arms and metal always wins against skin and bone.  Because guns are so laggy, unpredictable and controls are so clunky, you actually have a decent chance against someone with a gun, whereas in reality you would almost guaranteed receive multiple gunshot wounds even if you were attacking a child. 

 

That being said, scoring a clean hit on the chin against someone who knows how to keep a guard up is pretty hard.

Moto Helmet does not protect against KO. 

If you're wearing Said Helmet, you should get knocked into crouch or prone. It's a heavy, full bearing helmet, one punch, you should become vulnerable. Your Head is the pendulum of balance.  

It's the trade-off, the balance between Melee and Bullets. 

If you get shot in the head, yes, it protects. (to what extent, I don't know)

It's still stupid. Why people would walk around with this item on their head 24/7 is beyond intelligence.

I personally like the punching. I commend anyone for marching up to a guy with a gun attempting to punch him out. Mainly, because nearly every time someone has attempted to do that to me i've shot them in the face. I've noticed that it's better/easier to pull out an axe and take care of punchers though, because it's hard to aim when they are circling you, right up on you.

 

I say it's fine. If anything it gives unarmed scrubs a way to even the playing field. Mike Tyson on, my little freshies.

Good idea; also (maybe this has already been mentioned) but helmets should provide enormous protection against knock-out punches. It's would be really damn hard to knock someone out with punches if they're wearing a motorcycle helmet.

 

Now, a shovel would still be pretty effective but that's a different topic.
