Replace how common the M4 is with shotguns and I'll be pleased.

 

I'd like if people ran around with shotguns and we do have shells already in the game, but as the game is right now I expect people to just go hop for M4s as they already do once they realize shotguns are only good when things are uncomfortably close as it is.

Every shotgun in the mod had two types of ammo, buckshot and slug. The buckshot rounds in every shotgun had a spread similar to the pic. The slug is just one projectile.
