Yes, but your CPU won't allow you to get the best out of the new 270x.

Get a i5 3570K, a good cooler and overclock the hell out of it.

There is absolutly no reason why he should get a new CPU. The i5 3450 will never bottleneck a 270x

What does that mean?

It means the quoted topic has been added into a larger mother topic, in this case the 'can-I-run-it' thread.

You'd struggle with about 10 FPS on low settings. Sorry!

In every other game, you'd be correct.

Running an RV engine game, unless your CPU can reach 4GHz or better; it will be the limiting factor if you have a decent GPU.

So youre saying that my i7 4770k @ 4,5 and GTX 780 isnt enough? What computer do you need to play this game then? a $2000 pc?

They need to fix the optimization, as of today it is absolutely horrible. When I play. it only uses one(1!!) core close to 95%, and about 68% of my GPU and I STILL get dips well below what i should have.So lets say that he goes and spend $170-200 on a new CPU, and he still have shit frames, you think he will be happy and thank you?

You need to realize that recommending people to upgrade their PCs for the SOUL purpose to play DayZ is like throwing your money away simply because of the bad optimization.

What can you overclock? Expect a low setting.

Sorry. I don't know a whole lot about the overclocking, but in the main page for my laptop it says up to a 15% boost in performance. If it helps, DayZ mod runs perfectly on low settings. If i have to fully take down the settings that's fine, I just want a halfway decent framerate.

It might run fairly terrible you don't even meet the minimum requirements. Mine only just meets the requirements and I get about 28 fps on really low (some occasional drops).

Since nobody replies to people's specs this thread is useless.

I have an older Desktop and these are my specs:

Monitor resolution: 1920x1080
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @2.66GHz 2.67GHz
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
RAM:4 GBs DDR2
SSD? (Yes/No) Yes

I can play the game but the framerate is slow and choppy. Any suggestions on what I can upgrade to make it run better. I don't want to spend a huge about of money but maybe increase to a 2GB video cards. Any suggestions?

Thank you

@Mendo Your PC is not very good, you will struggle to gain 20 FPS at Very Low settings, maybe with some tweaks you will have 25 FPS, but in cities you will struggle at 15 FPS max.

@Silent Havok You have a very weak PC, your PC just can't handle it. Buy another rig.
