As time passes I'm getting disgusted at the community for the extreme amount of useless speculating and impatience. Especially now with all that "Give DayZ SA" crap.

The thing of it is they never confirmed 156 players per server. They said as many feels right. So they may cap it to 50-60 like the mod to start and slowly increase it from there when Alpha releases. That would mean it would release sooner too.

A troubling development - the level of testing has actually gone down in the last two days instead of picking up as expected. This could mean issues with integration of the major components have been found and they need to go back to the drawing table and redo it, followed by more testing.

I think everyone just assumes because from the dayz testing server all the player caps are 156.

I rarely played the mod on a server with over twenty people on it. I know there were a lot of busier ones out there but it always seemed to me that the average was around twenty. I don't think anyone has seen the test server maxed out yet. In fact, I think the highest it's gone is 22. I am curious myself what the large MP test is going to look like.

Check out Dayzero on BMRF. Playing with 50+ people on the map is pretty exciting.

Or perhaps people wanted to spend one of the last nice weekends before winter, you know, outside.
