Birds chirp, frogs ribbit, cows moo, fps games breed hackers. Its a fact of life. Yes you can limit it but no system is fail safe. Its an arms race and the best thing any company can do is create a good anti-hack with minimal false positives combined with severe penalties such as perma bans.

Rocket seems confident that hacking will no longer be a problem in the standalone, but how likely is it really? There simply is no such thing as an unhackable game, and considering we're using the same engine as before, many of the pre-existing exploits and flaws will still be there.

 

Even if SA is amazing, it will be utterly ruined if hacking continues to go unchecked as it has.

 

 

This is why I will still be playing the DayZ mod alongside the standalone until private hives are supported.  Public servers just don't seem to be administrated in a way that even comes close to the private hives.  And I have zero tolerance for script kiddies or servers that aren't aggressively administrated to keep them off.  I have zero faith in public server administration or Battleye.  I had quit DayZ for a few months before I found and tried a good private hive and community.

 

EDIT:  And stop calling them hackers.  They're script kiddies.  They have no skill at playing the game or hacking.  Their only skill is in typing the 16 digit number on their mommy's credit card into the proper field displayed on a subscription based hack site.  You give them credit they do not deserve when you call them hackers.

Auto-Aim - Not sure if there is much that can be done about this. They can limit it some, but people have been pretty crafty at writing programs that not only get your cursor exactly where it needs to fire, but can add in misses or sway or anything else to fool a third party looking in. Other than mining data and seeing if the exact same things or speeds occur there isn't much they can do about it. 

 

This is where a live admin just can't be replaced. Two nights ago saw a guy getting a lot of kills. Spectated him and sure enough he would just turn 180 degrees instantly then pop off 1 shot and a player would die. This was with just an M4. Through trees and brush with no problem.

You come on the forums and nit-pick at all the small things that are wrong with the game, instigate arguments, and act arrogant. Personally I see you as an better-than-average troll. You do seem to bring out the darker side of people. I don't really see why but that might just be me considering I don't care about other people's opinions :)

 

It's okay to see a post or thread that's not in favor of DayZ or the devs, criticism is necessary for a well made game. Obviously blatantly bashing the game isn't going to do much, but I have seen people get absolutely swarmed for making valid points that went against the "positive" view of the mod/game, if that makes any sense
