He's saying that all servers should be connected to some kind of database that can be checked (at random) for cheating admins and players. Evidence that an admin is abusing his power/et  cetera = instant ban for the perpetrator(s).

I wouldn't mind if there were external hosts that weren't hosted by the DayZ/BI but they would have to run a completely closed system with no admin access even giving to the operator - the only problem it would have is there would be no real 'active' moderation, this would work if there were sufficient measures in place to ensure hackers/cheaters were not able to abuse the game.

Allowing administrators additional powers over normal users just leads to abuse, if it were to happen on the public hive they would just ruin it like they do now with all the unfair bans, spawning in items and using admin tools to their advantage.

Definitely agree with my non-native English speaking OP friend. At least ban them from hosting on the public hive and relegate them to private only, (once or if those become an option with SA).

Having a dedicated server admin can be awesome.

He might keep a few vehicles spawned, de spawn broken ones.

Really keeps servers alive.

What they have done should be visible for other admins IMO, if people got a problem just stick it on Reddit.

They can view player activity and maybe still have some fun in game by just playing other servers they aren't admins on.

But they can still cross check another server for admins activity and really check to see if its clear of corruption.

I hate nothing more than seeing hackers defended by admins and they mistreated looking for fun to be perma banned, never to have a voice again.

Let the Reddit community be the jury and the Devs themselves be the judge.

We don't really need admins since the servers can do everything in auto-mode ( and i hope they consider doing it that way so admins don't mess with the settings ) and the database is already connected to rockets pc, so if he sees someone hacking he just presses a button...

It is true that they are kind of useless if an underage lets mommy buy a A rated game. You'd have to have a system where you need an electronic ID like f.e. in the 5th Element where you stick it into a device you would use for online banking. Of course you can bypass it by just using daddies ID but here i come the point: online impersonation...

Seriously, though: I'm happy having a server I can't control if the environment is alright. It's ridiculous that the publichive-servers were locked down so long and that admins didn't have access to the files at all. That's in my oppinion sadly the reason publichive pretty much died, as we didn't have the ability to secure our servers whatsoever.
