I can run it but with 10 FPS. Gets at like 3 FPS when in popular servers.

Is it ok?

OS - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

CPU:

AMD Athlon II X2 220 - Tecnologia Regor 45nm

RAM - 4.00GB Dual Core DDR3 (7-7-7-20)

Motherboard - PEGATRON CORPORATION 2A99 (CPU 1)

Graphics - 1023 MBGeForce GT 440 (ASUStek Computer Inc)

Drive - 466GB Seagate ST350041 8AS SCSI Disk Device (SATA)

It's a very old computer.

Do you even realise that you are writing in black? It really annoys me when people put their specs in with font sizes at 56 and yellow letters with a pink background, I have to highlight it to read it.

Whew, OK, I'm not 100% on APUs, someone else will have to tell you, otherwise, the CPU would run it, but a quad core would be better.

The CPU and GPU could do with an upgrade, they are both mid-rangey.

I've done a lot of research and found out you need a pretty good PC if you want to run Dayz, I was thinking of buying a PC with the following specs but I'm not sure if I'll be able to run it well. Can you let me know how many FPS this PC can get and on what quality settings.

  • 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4770 (8MB Cache, up to 3.9GHz w/ Turbo Boost Technology)
  • Windows 7 Home Premium, 64Bit, English
  • 8GB1 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
  • 2TB SATA 6Gb/s (7,200RPM) 64MB Cache
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670 with 2.0GB GDDR5

So those are the specs for the PC, please let me know what settings it can run Dayz on and how many FPS I would get, also if it could run Standalone version of Dayz.

Thanks for your time and help.

Most certainly you will be able to run it well, how many fps depends on how optimised and what services you are running in the background, so that is a question that nobody can answer.

Most certainly you will be able to run it well, how many fps depends on how optimised and what services you are running in the background, so that is a question that nobody can answer.

Could I run it at 30+ fps on medium-high setting while playing on a 30 player server in a town?

How would this run?

It wouldn't run at all, considering there is no GPU in that list, otherwise it should run fine with a decent middle to high class GPU with it, also if there is an option to get a quad core CPU, go for it. 30+ on high.

lol, I don't think anyones that lucky. Maybe ~30+ on medium settings, but it also depends on your internet connection / speed aswell.

Instead of waiting for a response in this thread, go to canirunit.com and search for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. Simple

But the canirunit site cannot give out reccomendations on what to replace or upgrade, or how much FPS you can get on what settings.
