Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

1GB XFX Radeon HD 7770

Intel Pentium G850, Socket 1155, Dual Core, 2.90GHz

LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x DVD±R

Fractal Design Core 1000

500W Storm Silent LPJ19-25

MSI H61M-P31 (G3) Motherboard

4GB Corsair Value DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333)

500GB Seagate ST500DM002 Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s, 7200rpm

Windows 7 64BIT Professional

How would that run DayZ?

~30 on normal - high.

Im looking to build a computer that can run dayz at peak preformance and record in the highest setting. Also looking into doing alot of video editing. My price range is 1500-2000$ what do you sujest?

With that budget, anything really.

I would reccomend an overclockable CPU with at least 3.0GHz of speed.

16GB of RAM for your editing / recording.

At least a TB of storage for your videos and an SSD too.

A high end GPU (680 / 690 / 7970)

Hey,

I am Getting ready to upgrade my PC for the Standalone as well as Star Citizen

Here is what I have

CPU: AMD 6100 @ 3.3 Ghz

RAM: 8 GB Ram (Can Upgrade to 16 GB)

MoBo: MSI 970A-G46

Video Card: AMD HD 6850

2x Hard Drives: 750 GB Each

PSU: Rosewill 750 Watt

I am looking at getting an SSD (Solid State Drive), a Nvidia 660 ti, and a New case.

Here go the question(s) - What SSD brand should I get? I am looking for a reliable SSD.

Will my current video card run the standalone fine?

Thank you for any help :)

Intel, corsair, crucial are all good SSD brands.

Your current GPU is fine, but the 660ti will be better.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting a new laptop but I'm having trouble finding what I want. You see, the majority of decent gaming laptops carry Nvidia graphics cards. Now that's fine and all for others, but I have brand loyalty to AMD and I'd prefer to get a laptop with an AMD GPU and an Intel CPU in the sub 1000 $ dollar range. It has to be equal to or better than a GT 650m in terms of gaming performance and I'd prefer that it has an Intel CPU as AMD mobile processors aren't all that good. It should be a minimum of an i5, and I'm okay with getting a laptop that's a little older, but no too old as I'm trying to replace my current(ASUS G73Jh). I'd prefer a quick response, and no trolling/fanboyism. (I understand some of you have a prejudice against laptops, but I'm asking an honest question and stop being assholes and telling people to get a desktop. They are usually getting a laptop for a reason!)

I use to run DayZ when I had a i3 550. But mine had a 1gb 9800gt. I was running it fine at medium settings at 1080p. Not sure how much difference there is between a 9500gt and a 9800gt (mine was a green edition 9800gt low power). So am gonna go out on the limb here and say yes it will run fine at low. But if you want a cheap upgrade then dabs.co.uk (assuming your from the UK) have a 1gb 6670 which comes with a free copy of Far Cry 3 for £43.99. The 6670 is not the greatest card in the world but it is fine for DayZ.

Buddy, a mid range GPU from 2006 isn't going to run this game smoothly on even low settings. You shouldn't be making recommendations buddy.

Go to that link and take a look.

What FPS would it run on high medium and low and do you think it is worth the money?

I dont know much about computers so help me out here!

It is DEFINATELY worth the money. If you don't buy it, you will regret it. Definately go for it.

Buddy, it'll run fine on low - normal. Especially with the CPU he's got, it'll run fine. I would reccomend an upgrade, but it'll run, buddy. Also if you 'doubt it' then don't answer unless you know that it'll run or not.

Dulix, this is just a curious question, what does it mean when theres 'intergrated' before a video card. Im new to computer vocabulary, so I would aprreciate the meaning, ty ;)

Also, if Integrated AMD HD7660D didn't have inergrated, what effect would it have on it. BTW, You have my beans :)

Intergrated means the GPU is built into the mobo, and uses its RAM instead of its own, you can't upgrade these. Most intergrated GPUs suck 8===D for games like ArmA but I've heard the 7760D is OK.

Dedicated means its detachable from the mobo, and uses its own RAM, for instance a 660ti "2GB" would mean it has 2GB of RAM.

Dulix if my graphics card which is a Integrated AMD HD7660D wasn't intergrated, what would my fps be, because you told me that it would run at 30 in low-med, so if it wasn't intergrated, would the fps be better?
