Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

I've never played DayZ before let alone ever had a PC that could handle games. So I wanna know, as a first time gaming PC Buyer, would this be AV alright PC to play DayZ?

It's a CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA250

Processor - 3.8GHz Turbo Core AMD FX-4130

Memory- 8GB DDR3 SDRAM

Hard Drive - 1TB

Graphics - Nividia GeFoce GT610

It comes with an Xtreme Gear USB Keyboard and Xtreme Gear USB Mouse so as my very first Gaming PC, for $500 USD I don't think its a bad deal or a bad computer. How well would this run DayZ? Remember that I'm not trying to run it on max settings. I just wanna know if it would be playable. I've read that it will do fine but the graphics card could be updated so give me ideas for a decent graphics card at a decent price. If I had the money for really good expensive stuff than I wouldn't be buying the Gamer Ultra. I'd pick something else

Nope.

The graphics card, putting it lightly, is a pile of crap - it's on par with some of the high-end mobile cards.. from over 5 years ago.

I could draw the frames by hand faster than it could render them.

Dunno, but I'm pretty sure it'll kick ass at using forum search functions.

I think that thread needs to be the first and last sticky in a few of the forum sections. Like flashing neon colors and sirens and arrows and maybe even puppies.

(I woulda said kittens but that's too cliche.)

We should just have a simple process for people who are new.

Sign up:

Question 1: Are you going to ask if your PC can run DayZ? ---> If yes, direct to thread. If no, proceed to question 2.

Question 2: Are you going to ask about the standalone or it's release date? ---> If yes, direct to SA thread. If no, proceed to question 3.

Question 3: Are you a fan of punctuation? ---> If yes, redirect to forum. If no, instantly PM Ceppy's phone number and tell them it's the DayZ Standalone sales team's phone number.

That's a wonderful suggestion but a forsee possible problems with people getting stuck on question #1. I mean, the pc in question might not be their pc, per se.

This would be absolutely perfect if you added a question for people making global ban appeals.

Umm... would this be able to run it? Sorry I cant put it in the format you want.

you trolling or are you serious?

yes you will run it perfectly fine, use common sense and google please.

that is a gaming pc with an i5 and 4.4 ghz...of fucking course you can run it, and well.

dual core? under 3 ghz?

shitty video card?

=low settings

i5 or i7 above 3.5 ghz?

dedicated > gtx 460 vid card?

=excpect to run it medium-high

the next person who asks if their i5 4.4ghz or i7 4770k over clocked to 6million ghz with 74 gb ram and gtx 1 million should get banned lol

It won't run it that well becuase of the dual 6870s. ArmA 2 takes SLi/Crossfire builds horribly, you'd be better off with a single 6870 and that's quite an outdated card now.

It will run most other games really well and ArmA II at a playable level though. It's not a bad system.

Hi! First post, just to let people know I'm playing at low detail/quality with 1600 draw distance at 40-60fps in countryside, around though mostly above 30fps in towns on........wait for it.........on a £70 amd a8-5600k apu @4ghz with cheap ballistix tactical 4gb 1866mhz ram on an ultra cheap asrock fm2a55m-dgs using internal gpu!!!

Anyone with dt i3/athlon ii and gt440/hd6570 or above will be just fine and the game will be perfectly playable, I did do the 'fixes' posted on here though but didnt play without so dont really know if they work.

Sooooooo....... agreeing with deebz1234 please stop willy waving your big £££ intel specs around asking 'can i play on this?' lol
