IEGcGhost 1 Posted October 8, 2013 I've never played DayZ before let alone ever had a PC that could handle games. So I wanna know, as a first time gaming PC Buyer, would this be AV alright PC to play DayZ? It's a CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA250Processor - 3.8GHz Turbo Core AMD FX-4130Memory- 8GB DDR3 SDRAMHard Drive - 1TBGraphics - Nividia GeFoce GT610It comes with an Xtreme Gear USB Keyboard and Xtreme Gear USB Mouse so as my very first Gaming PC, for $500 USD I don't think its a bad deal or a bad computer. How well would this run DayZ? Remember that I'm not trying to run it on max settings. I just wanna know if it would be playable. I've read that it will do fine but the graphics card could be updated so give me ideas for a decent graphics card at a decent price. If I had the money for really good expensive stuff than I wouldn't be buying the Gamer Ultra. I'd pick something else

rossums 2190 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Nope. The graphics card, putting it lightly, is a pile of crap - it's on par with some of the high-end mobile cards.. from over 5 years ago.I could draw the frames by hand faster than it could render them. diddums 3760 Posted October 8, 2013 Dunno, but I'm pretty sure it'll kick ass at using forum search functions.
creature 1189 Posted October 8, 2013 I think that thread needs to be the first and last sticky in a few of the forum sections. Like flashing neon colors and sirens and arrows and maybe even puppies. (I woulda said kittens but that's too cliche.)
diddums 3760 Posted October 8, 2013 We should just have a simple process for people who are new. Sign up: Question 1: Are you going to ask if your PC can run DayZ? ---> If yes, direct to thread. If no, proceed to question 2. Question 2: Are you going to ask about the standalone or it's release date? ---> If yes, direct to SA thread. If no, proceed to question 3. Question 3: Are you a fan of punctuation? ---> If yes, redirect to forum. If no, instantly PM Ceppy's phone number and tell them it's the DayZ Standalone sales team's phone number.
creature 1189 Posted October 8, 2013 That's a wonderful suggestion but a forsee possible problems with people getting stuck on question #1. I mean, the pc in question might not be their pc, per se.

Mos1ey 6301 Posted October 9, 2013 It won't run it that well becuase of the dual 6870s. ArmA 2 takes SLi/Crossfire builds horribly, you'd be better off with a single 6870 and that's quite an outdated card now. It will run most other games really well and ArmA II at a playable level though. It's not a bad system.
