wasdAidan 0 Posted July 1, 2013 Alright guys, what about this?HD Radeon 5670Intel D945GCNL Socket 775 MotherboardIntel Pentium D Processor (3.4 ghz)OS: Vista2 gb ramI know that the minimum requirements for DayZ is a radeon 3650 and the recommended is 5770. So i feel graphics card wise, I'll be okay running it. So what about that processor? It's a step up from my 2.50 ghz processor right now, which I've felt was the culprit of my slow fps in the game. Also, if anybody is going to tell me to get more ram, can you explain to me the importance of doing so? Will it actually effect the performance of my gameplay? Thanks

Your cpu (or one core in particular), as good as it is, will be the bottleneck. Monitor your hardware (EVGA Precision/ MSI Afterburner for GPU and Task Manager for CPU) and determine where the limitation is. If you have gpu headroom, crank up the settings.DesktopRes: 1920x1080CPU: i5 2500k@ 4.2ghzGPU: XFX DD 7970Ram: 16gb Hyper X@1600mhzSSD: 256gbYour limitations will be server-side only. I wouldn't recommend it. Edited July 1, 2013 by Drunk in Cherno
Mors 0 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) CPU is too slow, I would say <20 on normal.Thank you. That is what I was thinking as well and hence deferred placing the order. How would 4900MQ (might get this if can save the funds) perform for the mod and especially the standalone. The rest of the specifications will stay the same, except ram to 16gb. I am using my flatmates desktop PC to play the mod on and might install only the SA version when I buy the PC. Death_Dealer 3155 Posted July 2, 2013 I'm guessing it should run about the same/slightly better on standalone then? That's hard to say as the game isn't out yet, but theoretically yes. You should get somewhat the same if not better performance in the standalone.

DragaO (DayZ) 4 Posted July 3, 2013 Guys... you're being pathetic.. any i5 i7 and amd's fx cpu paired with gtx 560 ti and above (ask google for comparison with your card), 4 gigs or more ram will run dayz smoothly even on FHD resolution. Really..
uncledude426@gmail.com 107 Posted July 3, 2013 Repost. Last answer i got was not helpful.Really? Two of us told you a $40 GT 610 is crap with a mere 5-10% of the performance of gaming cards. I'd wager you'd get single-digit framerates at any setting. I can only surmise you're looking for someone to lie and say it's a great setup?
