Not very well at all. CPU is too slow, GPU I would assume wouldn't cut it. Laptops just can't handle games like this.

Isn't the 2.20GHz 2 times? Then it's enough CPU right??

I used to have the same CPU and a slightly worse graphics card and I ran it at around 30-40 FPS in an empty server and 20 FPS on 40 population+ servers. The settings didn't really matter much and I usually had them all set on highest just because it only gave me a 1-5 FPS difference and it looked a lot nicer.

That's not how it works. 2 Core CPU does not mean it will run twice as fast although it will run faster. It really depends on how optimized the game is and how good the multicore threading is. ArmA(the game which DayZ is based on) does not do this very well so you might want a faster clock speed but less cores for ArmA.

I'm scared, I just purchased a computer that was worth 904.00 but didn't look into information if i'm going to be able to do stuff that i want

to use the gaming computer for, Here are a few details about the computer. If anyone can tell me if its good for what I need it for it would be

tons of help. I'm going to be using it for DayZ of course and to be live streaming and once in a while record my gameplay. I might of spend

a little bit too much, I'm not sure but below are the Spec's of the computer, Please tell me i'll be able to do what i want to use it for

Play DayZ / Record / Live stream

iBUYPOWER - Desktop - 16GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive

AMD 8-CORE FX-8120 Zambezi Processor with AMD HD 7850 Graphics

16 GB DDR3 SDRAM

1TB Serial ATA II Hard Drive (7200 rpm)

More information just click the link below

(If you know about computers let me know please) Hopefully it will.

I don't want someone telling me that DayZ is a poorly optimized game. Can this set up run DayZ on it's highest settings with good fps? Sorry to be a dck but every time I ask everyone just kind of gives me a cold shoulder on it. I've had a lot of people tell me to get asus based mother and intel cpu. I don't mind having to mess with my BIOS before I can download my OS. I'm pretty sure that's the only reason people are telling me to go with that build rather than the one I have. Any tips would be great though! Cheers

Never, ever buy a custom build unless you plan to change some parts off the bat.

These things are terrible, some will give you a cheap mobo and/or just have a bad bottleneck in the system. You could of easily build a better pc for less with a better CPU. You will be able to play the game no doubt, maybe even stream...

But it wasn't a wise choice to buy that.

>Buys from Best Buy.

>Expects to be able to stream DayZ.

Looks like you got lucky though, it's not actually that bad a machine. If you can afford to throw out the motherboard and switch it for something like an ASUS P8Z77 so you can OC the CPU and put an SSD in there it'll run DayZ pretty well.

AMD FX 4100 QUAD CORE 3.6GHz can be overlooked to about 4.0GHz.........8GB DDR3 RAM.......RADEON HD 7850 OC EDITION 2GB....... 1TB HDD......600W PSU.......WINDOWS 8...... best settings and FPS please. Many thanks in advance.

It's a bit of a guessing game with lower-tier AMD kit as to how well it'll take ARMA but you should be fine on 'normal' to 'high' settings with 30-60 FPS.

Maybe if you OC the CPU.

Could I run dayz with this rig??

and could anyone recommend a better pc I can build for about $600-$650

I know $600-$650 isn't much but I'm trying to find a quality budget gaming pc.

Thanks for your time, and please let me know if theres something better out there for only $600-$650

Not entirely. That CPU will run DayZ fine, but otherwise yes. You can get faster CPUs but I don't know how well they perform.

I don't know how much ArmA II likes dual-GPUs, but even with one GPu, you'll get 35+ on high.

GPU is bottlenecking. Something like a 7770 is relatively cheap, but if you're willing to spend a little more money, go for a 7850.

As for a custom build, please specify were you're from, so we can get a better idea of where to look.

Depends on the CPU. If you go with AMD then you will more than likely have to OC to run ARMA 2 maxed out with decent FPS. If you want to max the game out without overclocking you'd need something like an i7 3770k which really doesn't come cheap.

mZLY, I think you should add something to the first post, telling people how to ask, how to ask for custom built parts etc

Something like:

When asking for help, set your post out like this:

CPU: *cpu name*

Motherboard: *mobo name*

RAM: *ram*

etc etc etc

And when asking for advice on custom built parts and building computers please include the country you live in to help find proper prices, whats available there...also the price range.

eg

I'm looking for advice on building a computer / I'm looking for advice on parts for a computer.

My price range is $whatever - $whatever and I live in *residence*

Just a thought, I think it will make helping people a lot easier and tidier.

Yes, it will run great.

The best way to install is with DayZ Commander...
