Recommended Posts

on this topic I want to hear some of the weirdest, coolest and most outrageous things that has happened to you

while playing dayz.

the reason why is that I want to make my own story in the standalone (my computer is too crappy for the mod)

Once me and a group of fully geared men ran across the NWAF runway in a diamond formation, shooting our guns in the air and throwing smoke grenades. It was on a 50 man server, and we still managed to get across without even being shot at. We later found out that there was in fact people at NWAF who didn't kill us because of pure respect.

Once in a server far far away me and my friends were in elektro getting supplies. I was shot by an unknown assailant so i had to respawn. After i died i received news of a sniper killing people above elektro.(BTW this is overwatch mod). i respawned in Cap Golova and made my way to counter sniper hill. After about 10 minutes of running to where he was i heard shots and quickly ducked behind some trees. After ducking behind the trees there was a restart and i got back into the game. At this point i slowly walked to where the sniper was hidden and waited for him with my taser. In my taser i had only one cartridge so i knew i had to make it count.  He turned around and i thought for sure he saw me but he didnt. he then walked out of the tree to get a better shot at a bambi running to the firestation. My friend said to me over TS, "Take the shot if you can" and i shot him in the back with a taser. He was then knocked unconscious and i took an AKM out of his bag. Right as i got it out my friend got there and we turned on full auto and filled the bandit's back with bullets. IT was soooooo satisfying. We then immediately got shot 5 minutes later XD.

Also there was the time where these 2 guys were on the cherno tower sniping bambis. After some discussion they said they would let me up there with them. when i got to the platform right  underneath the top of the tower i looked up to see one of them pointing his rifle at me. i decided not to stay still and just as i sidestepped he shot an bullet that landed next to me. He then tried to get a better shot at me and ended up falling off the edge and smashing his body right next to me. I then look up again to see his friend (who probably thought i killed him). he too tried to shoot at me without success. He then sidestepped by accident and landed next to his buddy. His last words were " Oh fuck!". I got some good gear that day.

Once encountered a player in elektro who couldn't have been more than 12 based on the sound of his voice.

Long story short I escorted/journeyed with him all the way to stary and found him the AK he desperately wanted because "its the best in black ops".

It was a challenge because of the difference in age, skill level and experience. But it was also very rewarding getting him through a point blank encounter with a hostile survivor in the tents and out alive.

Having a survivor who's life was entirely in my hands was a cool added responsibility I suppose.

The story of Old Gory is one of my all time favorites.

One day I was playing with my friend Scott. We spawned, actually right next to each other, but ended up going in opposite directions by accident. While I found some gear in western Electro, Scott was in eastern Cherno. Scott sees a guy, and he's sort of steering clear, because all he has is a hatchet. (at this point we were talking on skype.)

This dude and Scott come face to face. The guy (in game) is an old man with a big white beard, and he goes "Don't raise that weapon at me or I WILL kill you."

So Scott says he's friendly. Turns out this dude (his name was Old Gory) has an SUV. By this time, I was in that little town between Cherno and Electro, prigadorsky or whatever, and I just happened to have a jerry can.

They come and get me, and we're riding in the SUV. It's pretty much total silence between us all. (Scott and I meanwhile are laughing over skype at the sheer awkwardness of it.) Finally Old Gory breaks the silence with "So... You guys feel like killing some random people?"

We all laughed and agreed, and Scott asked him where we were going. He told us something to the effect that we were going to pick up his buddy.

Suddenly, Gory stops in the middle of the road and gets out, aiming his AK over the hood, shouting for us to get out. To our right was an apartment, and apparently Gory had spotted someone. All I have at this point is a revolver. Scott had I think a revolver or maybe a basic rifle already.

Gory runs up the street, and since all I have is that revolver, I go around the back of the building - In case the guy he saw came around the other side. Before I can even get to the end of that building and look across the street, Gory calls out that the guy is dead.

So we approach the hospital, which is just opposite the apartments. While we are in the field picking up supplies, Gory yells "GET THE FUCK DOWN! GET DOWN!"

He sprays a few bursts pretty much right over my head, but the whole time this is going on I just kept crouch running perpendicular to his aim, and I didn't get hit at all - though I could hear the snaps of bullets around me.

So I'm like, "what the hell just happened?" And Gory says "There was a guy with an automatic weapon in the third story window of that apartment. He's dead. You should go check him for gear."

Scott goes up there to loot the body, and meanwhile I head over to the hospital.

Suddenly a helicopter arrives overhead. He's just spraying bullets from the side machine gun into zombies right in front of us. Gory and I dip into the hospital; meanwhile Scott is in the apartments. So this guy rains hell for a minute, but we stay hunkered until the helo leaves. Gory makes a run straight for the Escalade, and I follow him, shouting out to Scott to hurry up and come with us (he still being in the apartment). We hop in the SUV and I'm telling Gory that we have to wait a bit. Scott finally comes out, juking walkers, and gets in the car.

As we're driving along trying to find Gory's friend, the helicopter appears again. We weren't sure what was going on at first, but Gory pulls the truck over into the trees - then the helo appeared overhead. I tell to Scott to ditch the truck, so we can hide under the trees. Then, out of nowhere, Gory just opens up on the helicopter. Bullets start raining down from its door guns, and suddenly I remember that there's a rifle in the truck, so I sneak over there and dive down behind it.

Well, the helo spots me, I can't get the rifle in time, and I take a stray round to somewhere. Then, the truck explodes right next to me, sending me flying into the woods rather comically. At this point we all sort of scatter. Zombies are now swarming the area, and Gory and Scott go off in different directions; meanwhile I'm in a field trying to bandage my wounds.

Finally after a good minute of fucking around with the menu trying to apply bandages, it works and the bleeding stops.

Scott comes over to me and we dive under a fence and into an industrial building with this tall staircase that's open to the air on one side, where gives me a transfusion. While we're doing this, the helo is still circling overhead.

Just as we prepare to combat the helo from the stairwell, it buggers off. I guess destroying our Escalade was satisfying enough. By this time, I have finally found a rifle. Gory sees us from below and calls out to make sure it's us. As we are reaching the bottom floor, we hear shots, and Gory runs straight towards them. I give chase, since I now have a rifle and can really provide support. While I'm running on the heels of this mob of zombies, I hear a burst of different shots from inside one of the houses.

By the time I've made it there, zombies are filing into the door of the house in mass, and everything is quiet inside. I shout out, "Gory, are you in there?"And I can hear him yell out of the house "Yeah, I killed that son'ova bitch!"

We decide to get moving. We run down the street and through a few yards until we're standing outside of a pub, and out comes a dude with an axe.

Fortunately he has a mic, and he just asks "Hey can I roll with you guys? I don't have a gun or anything." So we say yes, and pats on the back all round. But before we can even get organized, shots ring out of the top floor of the pub. Gory immediately returns fire, then barks out "MOVE IN, MOVE IN!"

Well, all this gunfire has suddenly attracted a lot of unsavory attention from the locals, so after some brief fucking around with zombies swarming the lower floor of the bar, we regroup out on the street. At this point Scott says something like "Should we just split?" Gory spits back "Hell no! I'm not leaving until this fucker is dead!" And charges into the building.

We're all outside with our guns trained on the windows, trying to figure out what to do, when suddenly we hear a burst of gunfire. Gory calls out proudly "He's down. I Killed him!"

At this point, we're all just a little baffled. I mean this guy consistently destroys dudes like it's child's play. (On top of that, his voice and language in direct chat are so powerful and decisive that it's impossible not to listen to him. My guess is actually that he was actually military or police.)

Anyway, so we leave the bar and head towards the Supermarket. As we come up on the store, there's a dude running around apparently; Gory is in the lead, so we hear him announce contact first. He immediately gives chase, ordering the man to stop. This dude just sprints flat out into the front of the store, and I already know what to expect. I run straight for the back entrance, and right when I get there, the guy flies out of the doors. Gory is right on his heels. Then, this dude sort of runs into the back area and begins running around in mad little circles, desperately trying to escape. Gory and I are both trained on him, and both yelling "Stop! Stop!" The whole time, this guy is running frantically back and forth like some kind of trapped animal. He's not even armed, he's just in sheer panic. It was oddly hilarious and authentic at the same time.

Finally he doubles back and heads out the hole in the fence, and Gory bellows out, "STOP! I COMMAND YOU TO STOP!"

But the guy just keeps running.

Gory's rifle booms, and I instinctively fire a burst directly across the man's chest; this being at maybe 100 yards. Our target managed to disappear behind a wall, and Gory and I are now sprinting off of the elevated platform. As we land the drop I hear a crack, and Old-fucking-Gory falls to the ground. I look over, and he's still moving. He tells me the his legs are broken. Our new guy (whose name I can't remember) runs over and starts giving him morphine. During all of this, zombies have begun to completely swarm the area, and now I can hear the drone of a helicopter approaching. The helicopter immediately engages us, and I see Scott take a round directly in the chest.

I sprinted back to the shelter of the supermarket, knowing that saving Scott would only get me shot, too. Once I was inside, I call out to him, and he says he's still alive. I start picking off zombies, because now they're all attacking him. We finally wipe out all the zombies, and our new guy is able to revive Scott, but he's is still very low on blood. By this time the helicopter had disengaged, but we didn't want to stay in the open with it nearby. So we went into the supermarket, and started patching up Scott. I try to give him a transfusion, but the game is being very laggy and not responding to my attempts, so finally the new guy administers the transfusion.

Then, out of fucking nowhere, Gory SCREAMS in direct "ALAHU ACKBAR! ALALALALA!!!!" and an explosion rocks the room, killing us all. That was the end of our time with Old Gory. I still don't know how he managed to blow himself up.

Lol, I don't know. I never saw him after he blew us up. Sometimes I wonder if he was hacking, or if he was just really good. I don't even know why he wanted to blow us up. I suppose he just did it because he could. Weird.

here's the craziest thing that has ever happened to me.

I was in Elektrozavodsk after doing all the crap up north, I had an M4A1 CCO SD, M9 SD, AS-50 (this was a while ago.)) in my Coyote backpack, the Hero skin, everything else that makes the stereotypical "DayZ Hero". I had a helicopter with some friends in it who could have picked me up at any time, and the server was full with at least 40 people on it. So I walk into Elektrozavodsk and yell out in Side Chat "Anyone need bloodbags in Elektro?!" Nobody answered. This went on for about five minutes, I call out, nobody answers, rinse and repeat. So finally I listed all my gear and said I was going to be walking around town with my gun lowered if anyone needed help and/or wanted to kill me. So I started to walk down main street with my M4 lowered (literally walking by holding shift) and these zombies start chasing me. Now, back before the recent patches, there was a bug where zombies couldn't hit people if they walked, so these zombies were just following me around town, unable to injure me or anything. I grabbed my phone, searched up "Conga line music" and played it through Direct on my mic. Little did I know, that by announcing my location and gear over side chat, a group of 7 bandits from a clan had made their way down to Elektro. They saw me walking around town with a Conga line of zombies behind me and ran up to me. All I said was "You fellas up for a dance?" and I had a group of bandits following me doing the Conga dance with zombies attempting to attack us and other survivors joining in. Soon, there was about 11 of us plus a few zombies walking around town dancing to Conga music. I led everyone to the church, gave 'em bloodbags and the party was over... for the survivors. The bandit clan had their fun and was determined to get my AS-50. I said "Ask nicely" and I got these 7 grown men to get down on one knee and say "Pleeeaaseee" at the same time. I gave them the sniper and let them go on their journey. As they left Elektrozavodsk I said in side chat "If I catch any one of you killing anyone with that AS-50, I'll hunt you down and shoot an M203 smoke grenade into your left lung and watch you run around screaming with smoke coming out of your mouth". I'm pretty sure they died before getting the chance to use the AS-50.

So there you have it, my crazy-ass story that happened on the DayZ breaking point servers before the owners made the breaking point mod. It was on CA-25 at about midday.

Unfortunately, I find myself always filming the crappy shit, and forgetting to film epic moments like this.

Me and my friend were trying out Thirsk, and went to the only city on the map, Thirsk. We met 15 guys who were all friendly, and teamed up and went to the airfield. 9 of us, including me, died from zombies and accidental grenade throws.

I once killed 3 bandits after we drove into an actual roadblock in DayZ with our GAZ. My friend died, I jumped out and hid in some pines, and carefully took them all out using my G17.

This one happened recently, some guy called liam tried to trick others by saying he died by a stupid glitch in Elektro school, was done with the game and told them he had lots of loot in sidechat. Me and my friend went to investigate, ran around the school roof like 9 times until we spotted a ghillie on the hospital roof (Took a very long time for me too see him, I guess my sight is bad). and shot full-auto AK at him. "liam was killed".

What happened after that is my friend accindetally fell off the roof and died, me still on low blood. I see a hero run into the convenience store, and try to contact him through both direct and side chat, informing him of my location and that I need help. He just continued looting and ignored me, and he came up on the roof, with his back faced towards me, having not noticed me still (Wat). He went to the other side and scouted, I went behind him and said "Hey, I need a BT". He shot full-auto AK at me and I did the same. We both died, I respawned in Elektro, and he had everything. Rangefinders, NVGs, DMR etc.

The most epic story I have ever had: There was an elektro sniper who had headshotted me while I was looting the elektro school on a 6 player server (Yes. I know. Wow.). I respawned in KRUTOY CAP. I decided to go to Tulga and loot the very low value residential in the very, very small hope I would find a weapon. I looted, found 2rnd pellets in Tulga, and took it. I continued and looted a very small residential shed with around 2 loot spawns.

A DOUBLE BARRELED SHOTGUN. I got infected by zombies trying to get it, but I did not give up. I continued to the Elektro sniper hill, and checked. I was about to give up when I see a ghillie suited guy sitting, looking at Elektro. I panicked and shot him while sort of far away. I hit him just enough to kill him with the 2 pellet rounds. (Would one have missed, he would have rolled away and patched himself up).

He later somehow came back after like 3 minutes, with a bandit skin, and took my DMR without me noticing, but did not want to kill me, only know my username. He told me his name and I got scared. A lot. I kept running with him stalking me, until I noticed my DMR was gone, so I took care of him with the M4A3 CCO I had gotten from his previous elektro camping life.

My current survivor actually I'm quite impressed with.  SO I started off at kamenka, already this was bad imo.  So I went in and couldn't find ANYHTING! just tin cans everywhere.  SO I went north to pavlovo, again, too many zombies and I couldn't find anything where I could go.  So I kept going north looking for random barns n such, finally found a sidearm, but no food or soda.  Ive lost blood from bleeding and now am dying of thirst.  I continue north to hit every town and supermarket, and im finding food but no fucking soda, still dying of thirst.  I made it all the way to pushtoka or whatever before I found some soda.  So now I have a lee, soda and food for a while.  I continue north looking for matches at this point because I am probably down to 1 or 2k blood.  Blood meter is red.  I crawl past NWAF to Grishino where I try to get zombies away from this house for a good 20 min.  Normally Id just say fuck it, but I kept at it, I really wanted to check in there, I didn't have many places left to go.  So after a while I get the zombies away and get inside TADA!! matches!

SO I continued north to petrovka where I find a chopper crash nearby and an ak, fucking POS but lots of ammo so I take it.  Then I went hunting, made camp farther west and ate a bunch of beef.  Im now well on my way to full health!  Now I just need some fucking pain killers and ill be good.  Then to NWAF for some shit!

Thanks. He was definitely American, though. His English was impeccable.

It was actually that encounter which was kind of like a wake-up call for me gameplay wise. I realized that all the times I had been quickly betrayed, shot on sight, died during combat, ect. was actually a result of my own failure to control the situation effectively. After that I started emulating his tactics - like using direct chat to control interactions; taking extreme initiative in combat situations; choosing my ground more carefully; scanning the environment constantly; those types of things. I survive a lot more now because of it.

I'm almost certain he was military, and it makes sense. They learn Arabic phrases while deployed, and his pronunciation was quite good for someone who sounded so American. The more I think about it, the more I realize that the way he was acting in the game was driven out of serious training.

So I've been playing DayZ for 5 days as a lone survivor and I've finally found my feet in the world.

While being totally alone during the first 2 days I did ok. Kept myself alive, found a camp spot and occasionally making looting runs to the nearest town. This was working out fine for me until I met another player who kindly offered to give me a ride to my camp. I agreed, despite the fact that people aren't to be trusted in this game. My trust in him paid off as he was quick to advise me on picking a better camp location etc.

The next day I moved camp to his suggested area, close to his camp. As a result of this, these last few days have been great fun, with the two of us constantly scouting and subsequently raiding hidden camps all around the maps. This partnership isn't an organised group. We're just two survivors that trust each other and help each other out.

In my time on DayZ I haven't fired a single shot at another player. I enjoy the excitement that goes with being a sneaky thief. I have no desire to hurt any other players. I just want their sh*t

Hmm, maybe i should try that too :P

That sounds really cool, because DayZ is and always will be better with a touch of RP in it :D

I've had DayZ since the end of July and have been playing it since, mainly MP, some SP. (I like to have a bit of variety in DayZ) but anyway, on to the story.

I freshly spawned outside of Elektro, armed with a double barreled and a makarov. (Yes, the two WORST guns in the game. If I spawned with a hatchet aswell I'd have picked the hatchet and trashed the DB)... So I head into the city. The server I was on had around 15 players online, around 10 or 11 of them were bandits sniping eachother in Balota airstrip so I knew that I had a chance of getting some loot in Elektro, so without hesitating I head to the brick houses and find a Winchester and some food and cokes. I head up to the firestation, nothing there. So I go to the supermarket and I find a tent. Boom, beautiful.

I then head up to the hills pretty happy with my find and not worrying about anything. I plan the next two or so hours out ingame. I set up camp, keep my favourite gun in the tent, try raiding some hospitals, the usual. As soon as I set up my camp I hear someone in direct. He said to me "Yo bro, nice camp"

I turn around to see a survivor who had no weapon, no sidearm or backpack. (He was a total noob) I reply in direct to to him and after a bit of talking we finally agree to work together. At the time I thought "Woohoo, a guy who I can trust" and we spend a couple hours getting gear and supplies for our camp. By the end of the day we had an SUV which was fully repaired, a FN FAL, a DMR, Revolvers and a CZ with one mag. Plus a few more tents, so we're doing amazingly for a few hours work. (I took screenshots so I remember what we got)

I added him on steam and we agreed to meet in the morning for some more farming for items, and thats exactly what we do the next day. This continued for several days and we gradually got more and more skilled at looting and stealthing, etc. By the end of the week we were both heroes which was pretty awesome. Two more days pass, and we both log on to find our six tents, full of backpacks, rifles, pistols, food, pepsi, bandages, blood bags, etc had ALL been robbed. Even our vehicles had been stolen. There was literally nothing left apart from what we had on us.

This was a big shock to us both, as we had got so far! So we decided to try and start another camp, but in Elektro we got sniped then robbed of our gear. We were back to square one. We had nothng apart from the crappy double-barreled and a makarov. I call him on skype and we both think what the hell, we have enough food and drink for us to head to NEAF. Thats right. North-east Airfield. The lost airfield of Chenarus. We thought it'd have some good loot there because no one ever goes there. I myself, had never gone there before.

We spend around an hour heading to NEAF through the woods in the middle of the map, looking in deer stands and stuff, but there was no luck. We were relying on NEAF to bring us back to being awesome. After a long journey, we arrive at the airfield. We look around everywhere and find nothing. This is the weird part that forced me to share this awesome, but so extremely strange DayZ experience that it bothers my mind until this very day.

You ready?

We decide to head back and hopefully die from the zeds or something, when out of the clear blue sky came around twenty players, from out of the buildings we just searched. Then an SUV and a beaten up UAZ arrived. They were the cars that were stolen from us...

And this is the best part. The guy who I teamed up with started walking towards the whole army of players who just ambushed us. He blasted one guy in the head and picked up his revolver. Then four other players started chanting whilst the army of psychos were walking toward me. He then shouted out some kind of chant, and everyone, I mean everyone started shooting their shotguns at me. I ran away trying to dodge the shots but one clipped me in the back, then another, and another. I fell to the ground, passed out and losing blood. He then ran up to me. MY friend, who I had teamed up with for so long, removed a hatchet from his toolbelt and started hacking away, whilst singing. I swear to Jesus Christ this happened. No kidding.

I have no idea why he'd do this. Maybe for the lulz? To prank me? I dont know. After that minor wobble, he stopped playing DayZ altogether until a week ago. If this was a prank, I'm gonna get him back so hard he'll be forced to post his experiences on to a thread like this. Like yours truly.

I apologise for any grammatical and spelling mistakes in this post. I'm on my iPad at the moment.

I was on a private hive, driving military offroad. Then I saw an SUV driving on me we drove our ways honking horns. I laughed my ass off first. Second later stopped the car with intension to kill them for their loot. They also stopped and got out. One of them M 107, second one had Sa 58. I had a DMR. So one started shooting. Bullets hitting car and cracking over my head. Rang a few bullets into his body as he tried to run clpse and shoot my ass off. The other one was trying to flank me. Knocked him out, and left bleeding to be eaten by zeds(which didnt happen as he started bandaging himself, so I fed him with lead).

Another story, is when I met two dudes on ATC in Balota. Armed with a deadly weapon of massive destruction (hatchet), charged on them with a warrior screaming through direct chat. One was armed with handgun, another with a hatchet. Knowing no fear, I cracked first man skull with a deadly blow. On berserkers rage, didnt even fewl the shots landing on my body. Stroke the other one in the arm, as he was running away in panic. I standed there, on the top floor, with blood pourinf out of my neck, looking down at the forest he ran into.

Felt so good then.

Oh man, I miss that time. Once I had a real good companion, we played on an UK server. I found him on the top of the hospital in electro. He had a hero skin, and we were just camping on the hospital. More and more people joined us, it was really very cool. We just defended the hospital roof, we were like 7 people in electro. Some went down to loot stuff. And when it got dark I was killed, but I remembered the name of the guy I played with. It was Tobori I think (and tobori if you read this you got to PM me man!), the next day I played on the same server and he was online too, so I asked him if he wants to team up. I cannot recall how it exactly was, but we teamed up. Actually at some point I asked him where he was from, he was actually from germany like me. So we were talking english the whole time, not knowing that we could talk german. From that moment it was really cool. He had a headset, but I had none, anyway we really played the whole day. Every evening from 20 until like 3AM we played dayz. And I really regret it, but we never asked each other for a skype ID or something. We just played on the same server every single time. He showed me his secret place where he hid his car everytime. He told me nobody ever found his car over there. So we played and played... and we found a new car. That car was mine now, he had his UAZ I think. Mine was a crappy one, you know these small ones which drive 10km/h on grass. But anyway, so we were playing and I can tell you this guy was the pure good. He was like NEVER shooting somebody. He always told me he worked so hard for his hero suit that it wouldn't be worth it to lose it just for killing someone. He was alway talking to the people, and mostly it worked out. A couple of times we died but it was cool. So one day we took a went north to one of the factories (not the really big ones, I mean the one with different floors and many, many wheels and stuff, with the fireplace in it) in middle of nowhere. We were going up to a hill, and I just had an enfield. We saw a car down there. It was dark btw and he told me he would go down there to loot the car. I told him I would shoot if something would happen. So I was like 700m away from him, he was like a little dot. And I spotted a sniper with my binoculars. He had ghilliesuit and DMR I think, not sure. He was on one of the top floors. My friend tobori got in the car and drove away, the guy on the factory however took shoots on him. I don't really know how I managed, but I killed the guy with my enfield. I hardly saw him but it was a good shoot, I am really proud of myself as you can see xD

But anyway, I killed him and there was another guy. I did not shoot at him because tobori was out of danger, or I had no ammo I don't know. So he drove up the hill to me and I told he me should get the hell out of here. But you won't believe it he was like "No man, we got to bring the car back, these guys did not harm us". And, you know if I was alone I would have just drove away, but tobori was an honest man and we seriously drove back. He told the one who was there that he is friendly and sorry for the misunderstanding. It was a british guy, I can't recall his name but that guy sounded really nice like an honest player (there is a reason why I say that).

So he told us he could give us a ride and we accepted. So we drove and I don't know but tobori had to logg of or had an DC. However I told this guy that tobori is missing, he said ok if I should stop. I am not sure what happend there, maybe I said him we should drive further or something, no idea, but after like 30 seconds he was talking (and I really think he was not aware that he was talking in direct chat) "Hey man, I got someone in my car, should I stop and execute him?" he was talking with someone in TS, and it was so freaking shocking. I freaked the hell out. I wrote in the chat "STOP THE CAR RIGHT NOW!!!", I was really filled with adrenaline, tobori was offline and I was in the back of the car with some guy who wants to kill me. He stopped, I jumped right into a tree line and told him he should get the hell out of here. I don't know why I did not kill him. I could've said "dude I need to bandage myself" then go right next the window, shot him in the face and say "dude, you should better check your direct chat". But I was to shocked I guess, it would've been sooo cool if I seriously would've done it. But anyway, me and tobori teamed up again and I told him the story. He was acutally suprised. But we went to the NE airfield. There was a guy with a bike, he was really cool. He had an MG and we went into a hangar. (it was a really stupid idea) THere was a heli and I really don't know why, but we stayed there and defended ourselfs from zombies. These things are your nightmare at night. They killed the dude with the MG, and almost me and tobori. However we got out and logged off near his secret base which was acutally near the NE airfield. So next day tobori was not online, because it was morning and he was working I think. But I want back to the hangars, and I LOVE dayZ for these moments. There were 2 guys looting some stuff in the hangar. I was literly like 20 meters away from them. They did not see me at first, but I saw their nameplates. It was, and I am not kidding, the guys who tried to murder me yesterday. I shot my whole mag of AK in there faces and killed them. It was SO epicly satisfying to kill them, I never ever felt so good in dayz. I laughed at them, it was pretty childish but it was great. They asked me why I did that, told me he was not going to kill me yesterday etc. etc. and then he declared war on me. Well, we played a bit on the server, but some day it was shot down and I never saw tobori again.

I can remember a day, we were at the north east airfield and ran from the to freaking cherno. It was 2AM and I think it took us 50 minutes. We always had a car and tried to fix it, we always tried to fix it at the eastern coast and we always got shot there or the car broke. It was a REALLY laggy server, there was a bug that I could loot a place for wheels and I would have 20 wheels in my inventory. If I used a wheel it would add anotherone in my inventory, it was ridiclous. But anyway, it was dark I think and there was a guy without wepaons, a dead guy I think, beucase we would've never killed a unarmend guy. He had nightvision goggles but nothing else so we assumed it was a hacker. However, we were running to electro, on the way to electro I calculated the time it would take until we reach it, it was that boring. xD

But anyway, it was dark and when we arrived there we checked the firestation near sniperhill. And seriously there were 4 players on the server including us. So we thought it should be pretty save. We went on the firestation and had some fun. We through flares all around the firestation. At some point I think I fell down, but I had good gear so I tried to spawn near electro. At some point I did, and tobori got killed by a player. So now  both of us had to get our gear. I can't recall what happend after that, but it was real fun, in the end we lost all our gear but it was worth the expirience.

There are so many other stories I could tell you, about our own house with a tractor, about jumping from an industrial building and despratly try to get our gear. It was a funny time tobori! Maybe we will speak some day, if you never change your name.

1st: it was the fourth or fifth time I'd played and was noobilly walking down the road when this dude comes driving up in a pickup truck and starts doing circles around me, laughing all the while on side chat. Because of trees, fences and me trying to get away from him he had to stop and back up from time to time to complete his circle. This went on for a while until I decide to remove his front tire and run off into the woods, log out and come back hours alter to steal his truck.

2nd: Once again I hadn't been playing long and so after looting the tents near Balota I just started off across the open toward the airfield. I was about 200m from the control tower when I spotted two ghillie suits with 50s atop the control tower...I'm in the open! WIDE OPEN! They spot me, or at least one did and they turned, I had nothing to lose so I started running toward them, straight toward them. They either sucked or the fact that I was closing ground made it difficult to find me in the crosshairs of a weapon that was most likely zeroed at 300m or more, either way they emptied their mags without hitting me before I got to the wall of the tower and out of their sight...must have drove them nuts because they came down after me, and I wish I could say I killed them both with my makarov but that ain;t true, I hit one and the other got me after quite a bit of cat and mouse around the control tower all the while ducking zeds that were attracted by the sound of 50's. It was a good way to die.

Nice post, these stories are enjoyable, I hope more share their's

Okay, here's one of many experiences of mine in DayZ.

I have had a good number of awesome times in that awesome game, one where a hacker even gave me a box full of EVERY SINGLE GUN in the game, but this one stands out.

I played on one of those servers where they have custom loot tables, which I always like. It keeps you hoping whenever you enter a building. But yeah, the server had very few people with high-end stuff like M4A3's, AS50s (This was before the .50 cals were removed) FN FAL's, basically any military weapon was pretty hard to obtain on that server, which was pretty nice as it was more realistic. AK's though were still pretty easy to find.

So I spawned on the beach with a hatchet and an M1911 in Kamenka and decided to loot the place out. Nothing, I headed to Komo, found an Enfield. Awesome. Then I headed up to Cherno and looted the hell out of it. Got an AKM from the supermarket along with a Czech Backpack and a Camping Tent. This went on for a few hours and by the end of the day, I had almost died around five or six times, by Bandits and Zombies. So I felt extremely lucky that day.

The next day I logged on at 7AM when only one other player was on so I could get some fancy loot from NWAF and Elektro. Whilst I was looking around NWAF, I saw a bandit sprinting away from Zeds, I debated on shooting him but that would only get me killed. So I watched him run into the woods, and all of a sudden I saw the message "Lt. Tankard was killed." I waited until the zombies walked away and I made my way to his body.

On him I found an M4A1 CCO SD on his body, along with a PKM and a few mags for it. I couldn't believe my luck, so I headed to my camp and logged out until night, when only three people were online, so I could continue my "Tour of Chenarus." I headed to Stary to find awesome loot in the military tents (Not many guns, but mags and flares, bandages, etc). Then headed up into the trees to see a Heli Crash Site. Pretty good day, hmmm?

Once I took out the zombies with my new M4, I looked around the crash to see an AS50, SVD and Camo clothing. There was other stuff which I didn't need. But I head an empty backpack, as all my supplies were in the tents, so I loaded those two beasts into my backpack with two mags for each, then dropped them off at my camp and got the remaining mags for both guns. Now by the time I had finished, I was so ecstatic I was literally smiling all the way through.

The next day I teamed up with a friend to loot the firehouses for weapons and the supermarkets for food and water. We did a clean run of the cherno market and firehouse...

In Elektro we cleaned the supermarket up and headed to the firehouse. Once we'd looted it, we both headed down the stairs at the SAME TIME. We both got concussions and lost blood. But out of nowhere a guy runs into the firehouse, he has nothing but the starting gear. We'll call him Lenny. This kind man gave us both Blood transfusions. My friend and I offered to take him with us back to camp, as he was new to the game and didn't really know what was going on. So a few hours pass and we get him a Winchester and a Revolver, plus I emailed him the Coordinates of our tents so he could drop stuff off. At this point he was still a noob, so we gave him an Alice Pack, Coke and Beans so he could go and get loot freely without starving, getting dehydrated or running out of space.

We all played for another few days, and he was genuinely just a nice guy, we would constantly see survivors running around with good gear, and instead of one-shotting them with his Winchester, he let them be. His personality on skype, was really nice. He also told jokes like a professional comedian.

But one day, we had finished looting Balota and were at our camp, when he pulled out his mic, got his Winchester and shot us both. He let us bleed to death instead of finishing us off. He then took all the guns from the tents and loaded them into our truck, along with all the ammo.

When my friend and I got back, he had left a few sodas and a few cans of pasta and steak. But no guns and backpacks whatsoever.

But yeah, Polite Ole Lenny had shot us both, stole our gear and left. I slammed my mic on the desk and stopped playing for a few days. It was a big disappointment, and now I don't trust anyone anymore, even Heroes, because of Lenny.

I'm still enjoying myself on this game, though. :)
