  1. so lately mods of the dayz mod(inception) have come out where you can,guess what, BUILD BASES. now i while back ive made a topic about player run trading post and some of us discussed how it could or could not work, now with my crappy pc and lack luster grades i cant play dayz so i cant get a idea on player interaction but this seems to work out great. survivors or bandits and maybe even a hero or two rest, eat and talk at no fire zones enforced by actual players who run the outpost. now this isnt perfect but it gets the job done of having everyone chill a little bit while desprately fighting for survival and its an excellent way to meet up with friends. some of the good parts of this is trading and interactions between the players and they may end up as allies where in other situations they would be slitting each others throats. in the previous discussion i was wondering how they would make safe player interaction possible in the standalone (which we are still waiting for!) while not just forcing players to lower their weapons and keep the element of danger. which is something the stain that is warz face planted on. so will they be using this type of player building and interaction in the standalone to promote more teamwork? or will they just ignore this ripe idea(which would have to given at least some credit to the modders) and just have it the same? comment your thoughts and as always.........   5. the current dayz mechanics for infection is pretty neat, you get hit too many times by zekes then you get an infection and then you die unless you find some antibiotics, end of story. but what about after you possibly die? I was thinking that if you die of an infection and your friends or enemies don't pop a cap in your skull or burn you,you come back as a zombie, but that's not it,if you were traveling for extended periods of time with a group of friends or kidnappers recently(like right before you died)you would track down those people,you wouldn't stop either and you would try to kill them,of course your body would be an npc but it would be a smart one who would sneak up on your former friends/enemies on its attempt on their lives, lastly you would have all your gear on you when you died unless someone looted your corpse. I think this would add a little bit too the risk factor of the game,so you even have to watch out for your deceased party members

    dayz is amazing. I haven't had the chance to play since my crappy computer cant handle minecraft on minimal settings but im not oblivious to whats going on. in previous post I threw out some ideas for the standalone but mostly i wanted to see the mentalilty of a player of dayz. some studies have even observed the interactions between players in an almost real and dangerous environment with just the general lawless behavior of players in the game, I believe dayz will do great things. not only will it change survival horror but it will change gaming itself, as this game is the perfect apocalypse,the wet dream of a anarchist it shows what we would do when pushed to the limit to survive, be it the stories we shared, the popularity of arma, dayz has changed it. though the game is supposed to be bleak and desolute it gives me hope that all this started with a simple mod. so gamers unite under the flag of bohemia interactive. and as usual stay frosty!

    true it shouldn't go the supernatural or sci fi route but nice little subtleties here and there that's only slightly abnormal from whats in the game you explained it perfectly

    In a previous post I made where some of you guys shared some of your wildest dayz stories I saw a couple that were paranormal in nature. This got me thinking.........could these be implemented into the standalone? Similar to stalker in a way where strange creatures,weapons and events happen in the game,not something too far from what would be in the game but something neat like the gauss rifle in namalsk. As usual post what you think and stay frosty!

    its come to my attention that the dayz community is incredible hostile, and I ask why? some say its a psychological factor when you trust someone over and over again and it comes to bite you in the ass each time. some would say that it's human instinct to act this way when pressed In a hostile environment trying to survive,but if so then why do I see from videos that they have to talk some serious shit to you when the knock you out,steal your guns and medicine and leave you to die. ive not the chance to play the mod so I don't know what it's like which I stated in my previous forum discussion about the woodbury topic. please leave your thoughts and Ideas on this somewhat delicate subject. I want to see what you guys think on this and as always -STAY FROSTY
