At least I don't announce that I am something and then fail in being so. -(On topic) There are plenty of other mods to keep people like me interested in the game. There are a couple of DayZ Mod maps that haven't even been released yet. Plenty of new content and experiences is keeping me interested. OfficerRaymond 2064 Posted July 23, 2013 I seriously believe that all of the DayZ staff and anyone that has ANYTHING to do with the SA, need to STOP USING DATES... PERIOD! This constant mess of talking about dates and time frames, are putting the entire community on edge. Not to mention royally pissing off some people. Sure, dates are good, in moderation. But what needs to be realized is that some people don't have the brain power required to interpret the English language, and realize that when a number comes out of someones mouth, that it isn't necessarily a release date. However on the flip side, the dev team has undoubtedly, in the past, made huge mistakes by giving a specific time frame. We all know it is true, but hey, at least they're still working hard. Right? Times and numbers need to be thrown out of the window IMMEDIATELY, weekly updates should be given on the forums (doesn't have to be a video, make it a list of features or something), and when the team is 100% confident with the state of the game as an ALPHA, then a ONE WEEK release notice should be given +free beans for OfficerRaymond. Honestly, that is all anybody from the community should want/need. This post will probably come under fire from multiple angles, even though I don't see anything unreasonable about it, lol. This game is going to be in ALPHA, an Alpha doesn't need to be perfected, glitches will happen. The big ones need to be sorted of course, but honestly... I wouldn't mind finding a bug or two, why?
