I hope it's possible to take over a part of town without having zombies respawn constantly' date=' almost ensuring that you run out of ammo sooner or later. Me and a friend dropped around 50 zombies and they were STILL coming.

Has zombie quick-respawn been fixed with this patch? I know the notes say spawning too close to player has been fixed, but even if they instantly respawn 100m away, they're going to hear the gunshots and come running anyways. So, insta-respawn might still be an issue?

It's bad enough with the wire and sandbag barricades on every hot loot spot.

Mind you the basic idea ... to stop immediate zed re-spawning ... is fine.

Rocket, I want to respectfully request that you take a look at an idea I had for zombie aggro/stealth mechanic - owing to the signal to noise ratio on the suggestion sub-forum, I couldn't really tell if it would be spotted... I don't want to keep bumping it in the vain hope that you see it, but I'm painfully aware of taking up your time with something that may be already in the works, or is semi-implemented or even that you think it's a shite idea.

I'm aware some of what I suggest may be impossible due to engine limitations, and it may well already be the basis on the way aggro works.

Items are only added to the list of changes here once they have been added, and confirmed fixed on the test server with one client connected.

BTW Can you change hatchet magazine into a Sharpening stone?

And make it to take a utility slot?

Dunno what to do about crowbar.

Why are wood bundles still being spawned as loot drops? Please, take them away. they served their purpose, but now are just taking up a loot drop spot away from something actually useful like food, water, or ammo. Or are the two not mutually exclusive? Either way, they're an eye soar.

Performance drop shortly after playing is directly caused by some of the infected searching behavior. This has been addressed.

The audibility (hearing) has been directly addressed in this update.

Rocket, is it just me but shouldn't zombies be able to hear farther than they can see? That always made more sense to me.

Then when it comes to aggroing / being detected, if your detected by sound zombies should come to your proximate location (where the sound was from) and look for you before making chase / attacking, where as if they are aggroed / detect you with sight they will immediately start running at you and attacking.

Nice I forgot to suggest this with the flashlight in the last thread when I suggested it with the Hatchet and Crowbar, awesome idea, +1

Are we still going to do this with the crowbar as well or are we waiting till we can add "tool / utility" type function to the item first?

The flashlight going on the toolbelt is a FANTASTIC start, but you'd have to throw your handgun in your backpack to use it, which could cause inventory space issues. Unless there is some kind of change where pressing L makes your hands magically emit light as long as you have it in your toolbelt.

This would make the remington/glock useless though. I guess throwing the gun in the backpack is no biggie.

EDIT: Handgun as a tool might work? Its toolbelt-sizeish.

Add Holster for pistol(a utility slot) where you can store your current pistol to solve your must drop pistol to get a flashlight.

Excellent Rocket, I've been playing with the flashlight and enjoy it but it was SO big ... not that size matters. :D ... uh ... wait a minute ... no, see I didn't mean ... I'll just get my coat and leave.

Is it possible to get an increase in the Morphine spawn rate?

Zombies can now very easily break your legs especially if you're combating them with melee weapons. Last night I spent the entire night crawling on all fours and found not a single morphine the whole night.

I went through 4 barns, 3 apartment buildings and swept an entire hospital including the roof and found every single medical supply except the Morphine (A very tedious task when you're crawling the whole time). It almost seemed as if Morphine was removed from the game entirely.

they already do, it is called they are refillable at any water source (other than the ocean).

Dissapointed with he zed nerf. Finnally with 1.7.4 we had zombies just as deadly if not more han other humans. A litteral solution to kill on site. And yet we bitched about it and now its back to dodging zombies and getting shot in the face.

I was succesfully able to sneak by 1.7.4 zombies just fine after i got he hang of it but everyone knew better than to shoot at someone else lest they have a whole horde on thier ass. Besides that people with no guns would want to pair up with gun toting survivors encouraging teamwork.

Hope they havent been taken down too bad.
