Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted June 22, 2013 All those maps are pre DayZ...i don't think they will go for community maps. They'd rather make their own...might have to do with pride. Not at all. Rocket has talked about giving the modders the resources and training they need to add new maps to DayZ in the future.People need to chill out. Just because initially we will be playing on Chernarus does not mean that DayZ SA will only ever have Chernarus as a map. For now it's suits their goals and time-frame. In the future we will be seeing exciting new things.
sausagekingofchicago 4711 Posted June 22, 2013 Maybe we can get that nice car priced map design tool BI sells on their website for... less than a car? :D

liquidcactus 719 Posted June 22, 2013 Never said City.I was thinking a small town somewhere in middle America.Reason is whenever something is mentioned or considered the setting of the game is always taken into account.Often times because of authenticity the idea is rejected because it would not fit with the setting. This as you can see greatly diminishes the potential of the final product. Most importantly though MOST of us are sick and tired of the same map.haaha where have you been ?no one wants dayz to have anything to do with the US and guess why.. cause most games are set in the US, its been done to death and to be honest id rather see it set in somalia then US :DOf course it wouldnt be a bad thing we just dont need to see it again and again and again and...
